‘DOOL’ Spoilers: Will Sonny Kiriakis Be Charged With Murder? Freddie Smith Reveals The Answer

DOOL spoilers reveal that Sonny Kiriakis will be questioned about Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry) murder next week. As fans saw on Friday’s episode, he confessed to killing the soap opera villain. However, did he really do it? Will he actually be charged with murder? In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Freddie Smith revealed the answer to those questions.

Even though Sonny is convinced he killed Deimos, it doesn’t seem possible. Remember, the flashbacks don’t show him stabbing Deimos. He only stumbled across the dead body and the knife was already plunged into his chest. Finding a body and actually killing somebody are two completely separate things.

However, Sonny is filled with guilt and really believes he could be capable of murder. As he explained to Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) earlier this week, he hated Deimos so much that murder is possible. This is especially true considering his beverage was spiked with Halo. It made everyone that night do strange things.

“The few bits of memory that are coming back to Sonny make him believe he murdered Deimos. Even though he’s not completely clear about his actions on the night of Deimos’ murder, he doesn’t want to see an innocent person behind bars.”

For those worried that Sonny might go to prison, rest assured that will not happen. Days Of Our Lives spoilers tease that Lt. Raines (Aaron D. Spears) and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) agree that Sonny’s confession is not enough for a murder charge. The reason is due to his confession being so vague and Sonny’s memories are just too fuzzy.

If JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) and Sonny Kiriakis are both innocent, then who killed Deimos? Popular theories include Dario Hernandez (Jordi Vilasuso), Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller), and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). There are others who think Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) or Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) might be guilty. However, Xander seems to be the most likely suspect. In fact, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) will find a hotel room key and it appears that Xander might be back in Salem.
