Joy-Anna Duggar Joins Facebook, Is The ‘Counting On’ Star Making An Important Announcement Soon?

Joy-Anna Duggar just expanded her social media presence. She and husband Austin Forsyth recently created their joint Facebook page, where they are expected to share important updates with their followers. The news was announced on Thursday by Counting On matriarch Michelle Duggar through the Duggar Family’s official Facebook account.

Joy and Austin were immediately greeted with sweet comments from their fans. As of now, the newly-created account has more than 20,000 followers with a 4.9 rating from fans.

“This is one of the most beautiful couples I have ever seen come from the Duggar Family! May God continue to bless them the rest of their lives!

“From what I saw on television they both are in love, love the Lord which is a big plus. Also, Joy is one of my favorites, she seems so genuine and down to earth. [I] pray that God would continue to cover you both as you start this new season of life together.”

Duggar Fans Make A Fuss Out Of Joy And Austin’s FB Name

Interestingly, the account’s name reads “Austin and Joy Forsyth,” with the emphasis given in the order of their names. Some fans were quick to notice this important detail and commended Joy for being a “biblical example.”

“Because just as Jesus is head of the church, his bride, so is Austin to Joy,” one follower commented.

However, not all were pleased and pointed out that such thinking is a bit backward. They reasoned that women who choose to put their names first are in no way less godly than others.

“Give me a break. Nowhere in the Bible does it say the man’s name goes first. It’s done out of habit more than any other reason. Jinger and Jeremy’s page is listed with her first. Are they less Godly than the rest? You are why people hate organized religion.”

Joy married Austin last May following a short engagement. Right after that, the reality star joined Instagram, sharing her husband’s account. Fans noted that once a female Duggar is engaged or married, she is already allowed to join social media. Joy’s older sisters Jill, Jessa, and Jinger all have their own accounts, but the 19-year-old Duggar chose to have a his-and-hers account.

Currently, Joy and Austin have not posted anything new on their FB page, except for profile and cover photos. However, fans are expecting a major announcement coming from them soon. Usually, the Duggar family announces important news such as engagements, weddings, and pregnancies either on their blog or through Facebook. Can fans expect baby news from the newlyweds soon?

Joy and Austin have just recently concluded their extended honeymoon. The couple first went to Switzerland and enjoyed its snow-capped mountains and gorgeous lakes. After that, they celebrated their one-month wedding anniversary in Israel, joining an evangelical tour.
