‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Movie: Keira Knightley Is ‘Definitely’ Not Interested
Fans who were holding out hope that actress Keira Knightley would lend her talents to the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie are about to wade into an ocean of deep disappointment.
According to Gather, the Anna Karenina star has flatly denied any and all rumors suggesting she is preparing to star in the highly-anticipated adaptation. Knightley currently has no plans to hop aboard this particular project anytime soon.
When asked if Fifty Shades was next on her agenda, the actress was quick to squash such speculation.
“No, it’s not,” Knightley explained. “It’s not going to be ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ You know, I normally don’t like to give a definite about anything [but] I can definitely say it will not be ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ ”
In other words, she’s not going to tackle the role of Anastasia Steele so you might want to stop asking. At some point, her responses are going to stop being friendly.
The Examiner reports that fans of the erotic novel by E.L. James think Gilmore Girls alum Alexis Bledel is the right choice to play the lead role. Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are the favorites to portray Christian Grey in the forthcoming adaptation.
Until Universal Studios makes an official announcement regarding the cast, folks on the internet will continue to speculate wildly about who should star in the feature. Almost every young actor under the sun has been rumored at one point or another.
Back in September, The Inquisitr reported that Gangster Squad star Ryan Gosling was attached to the project. However, like most of the rumors which came before it, this report turned out to be completely untrue. Right now, it’s anybody’s guess who will star in the feature.
