Alex Jones Releases Audio Of Conversation With Megyn Kelly

Megyn Kelly’s interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones won’t hit the airways until this Sunday night, but this week has been full of controversy and anger from multiple sides. Outraged families of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre (which Jones has claimed was a hoax) say that he should not be given any airtime. They argue that doing so gives him and the conspiracy theories for which he is known legitimacy and add that it will serve only to increase the pain they live with because of the Sandy Hook tragedy. In her defense, Megyn Kelly has said that she believes it’s important to provide viewers with this opportunity to learn more about a man that has President Trump’s ear. And now, Jones has leaked audio of a conversation he had with Kelly prior to the interview, saying he finds the portrayal of him in the promos inaccurate.

As reported by Deadline, Alex says that he has never recorded a conversation with a journalist. He claims that he did so this time because from the moment Megyn approached him about appearing on her show, he “knew that it was a fraud.” Here is some of what he has to say about the commercials that have run this week.

“I said Sandy Hook happened, everything – she wouldn’t even put it in the promo pieces… they’re misrepresenting who I am and saying I’m as bad as Saddam Hussein or Jeffrey Dahmer or Charles Manson… We’ve got the whole interview here! She was here from 9:30 in the morning until 11 at night. We got it all. You’re going to hear what I actually said.”

Fox News reports that in the audio, a voice that sounds like Megyn can be heard telling him that she won’t ask him tough questions and that her goal is not to create “some gotcha hit piece,” but rather to provide viewers with something they will find interesting.

NBC News has stated that they intend to follow through with airing the interview on Sunday night.

Alex Jones posted this video to his YouTube channel yesterday in which he discusses Kelly and his views on the matter.
