‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 7 Spoilers: Marlene King Teases Final 3 Episodes
Pretty Little Liars is ending with Season 7. It has been a rollercoaster and knowing that it will not be back next year is bittersweet. With only three episodes left, what can fans expect? Showrunner Marlene King teased what is coming, including multiple weddings.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Marlene King spoke about the final episodes at the ATX Television Festival, which took place in Austin, Texas last Thursday. What did the showrunner have to say about the show and characters?
For one, she teased multiple weddings. Fans were informed that there would be at least one wedding during the season break. However, viewers are getting prepared to watch at least two characters walk down the aisle.
“We’ve always said that there was going to be at least one wedding, but I can promise you that in the next three episodes, there will be two more weddings on the show.”
As everyone saw last week, Caleb Rivers (Tyler Blackburn) wants to marry Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) in a quick, simple ceremony. This will definitely make “Haleb” fans happy. Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding) and Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale) are also engaged, but with Aria’s deal with the enemy, she is not behaving like a happy bride-to-be.
Then, there is the couple known as “Emison” on Pretty Little Liars. Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) and Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) discovered they are having a baby, even though the pregnancy came about because A.D. stole Emily’s eggs and had them implanted in Ali during her psychiatric hospital stay. Could Emily and Alison make it official and seal the deal with a wedding?
PLL executive producer Lisa Cochran-Neilan also had some things to say about the final episodes. However, her focus was not on weddings, but on the final group shot.
“I hope you guys understand in the finale, it’s business as usual. We’re scheduling it, but these ladies that you’ve grown to love, they came to us and they asked us if the last scene of the last day of the last episode, if they could all be in the last shot… In our shooting schedule, it was the last shot. It will be my favorite moment because everybody was there. It was very late — or, shall I say very early in terms of time — but I will tell you that there was a sincere feeling of closure at that moment. Everybody was there. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place.”
Cochran-Neilan wanted to be sure everyone understood that the final group shot was the decision of the main characters. It was important to Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, and Sasha Pieterse that the show ended with them together.
The fact that there is a group shot in the Pretty Little Liars Season 7 finale is interesting. In the preview clip for next week’s episode, Aria Montgomery is caught by the police and her friends. Wearing all black, it becomes clear to everyone that she switched sides. Now, fans know why Aria made that decision and it wasn’t easy for her. The villain is holding something over her head and forced her hand. However, the preview clip also shows Hanna is not interested in Aria’s excuses. So, will they find out the reason and forgive her or is Aria’s life ruined forever?
