Kailyn Lowry Rejoices Over Rainbow Baby On Instagram Following 2015 Miscarriage
Kailyn Lowry’s third baby is special for more than just the obvious reasons.
As fans may recall, the Teen Mom 2 star tragically suffered a miscarriage in late 2015 while married to her now-ex-husband Javi Marroquin, making her third child a rainbow baby. A rainbow baby, as some may have heard, is a child conceived by a woman who previously lost a child to miscarriage.
On Instagram on May 30, Kailyn Lowry shared an adorable rainbow onesie with fans and thanked the Polka Dot Print Company for sending her a baby book.
“So much meaning in this onesie… thank you so much to [Sweetees Apparel],” Kailyn Lowry wrote in the caption of her Instagram photo, which featured her third child’s onesie.
On the onesie, a message read, “Worth the Wait.”
Kailyn Lowry and her former husband, Javi Marroquin, called it quits just months after she suffered a miscarriage. On a couple of episodes of the show’s sixth season, the reality star opened up about the pain of her miscarriage and blasted Marroquin for not being more supportive of her as she coped with the tragic loss.
While Marroquin ultimately apologized for not being there for his wife, the damage was done, and in May of 2016, Kailyn Lowry confirmed plans for divorce.

After Kailyn Lowry shared the photo (above) with her fans and followers on Instagram, several people weighed in on the post with supportive comments and others revealed heartache over their own miscarriages.
“So thankful you must feel! I experienced a loss at 11 weeks, so very tough. I got my rainbow baby though and im so thankful for her!” one person wrote.
“I’ve had 2 miscarriages and am currently 15 weeks pregnant with my rainbow,” another added.
Kailyn Lowry announced her pregnancy in February of this year and revealed that she chose to have a third child due to health complications she faced months prior. As fans may recall, Kailyn Lowry said that her third child was the baby she didn’t think she could have.
While Kailyn Lowry didn’t mention her miscarriage in her announcement earlier this year, she did open up about the loss of her 2015 baby during an interview with People magazine last March.

“MTV and the producers were very sensitive to the situation and just understood that I wasn’t necessarily ready to talk about it as soon as it happened,” Kailyn Lowry said of the on-camera moments that followed her miscarriage. “They kind of just gave me my time to grieve, and when I was ready and felt like I was comfortable talking about it, I did.”
“I know that there are people that are going to talk about it, but I think at the end of the day I’m going to help more people by [being open] about it, so that’s what kind of keeps me going through the whole thing,” she continued. “I’ve had a ton of people… saying that they can relate, they’ve been through it. Even ones that can’t relate, you know, they’re just very sympathetic towards the situation.”
“I like to think that everything kind of happened for a reason – I’m not really sure what the reason was yet for that, but I’m just constantly reminding myself that there was a reason why this happened,” she added.
Kailyn Lowry and her family, including her sons, Isaac and Lincoln, and their fathers, Jo Rivera and Javi Marroquin, are currently in production on the eighth season of Teen Mom 2. No word yet on when the series will return to MTV.
