Jennifer Lopez Disses Drake, Calls Rapper A ‘Booty Call’ [Video]

Jennifer Lopez is finally speaking out about her infamous tryst with Drake that had everyone talking in late 2016.

Jennifer appeared to refer to her short-lived romance with the rapper while performing during one of her “JLo: All I Have” residency shows in Las Vegas this week, where she paused during a song to joke about her time with Drake.

Lopez stopped in the middle of her performance at The AXIS auditorium at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino when a tune that sounded a lot like the opening of one of Drake’s most famous hits “Hotline Bling” began to play on the speakers, Latina reported.

Jennifer then paused momentarily as the song by her ex played out, as captured in videos uploaded to social media by concert goers, before Lopez then told the crowd in Sin City, “Huh. Booty call.”

Lopez – who’s now dating baseball star Alex Rodriguez – then continued with her show after giving a coy smile to the audience.

This marks a rare time Jennifer has actually spoken about Drake since she and the rapper were spotted out and about together numerous times throughout December 2016 and January 2017 until it was reported that they’d called it quits just a few weeks later in February.

The last time Lopez teased her relationship with Drake was back in March, shortly before she and Rodriguez went public with their romance, where Jennifer confirmed that she and the “Passion Fruit” rapper were not together during an appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

“Let me clear this up,” Lopez hit back after being asked about the rapper on the late-night show earlier this year. “I am not with Drake.”

Jennifer Lopez then appeared to hint that everything may not have been as it seemed between the two, coyly adding, “Maybe that’s all I need to say.”

Jennifer’s confirmation that the two were definitely not together came after Lopez appeared to hint that their romance – which many fans claimed was actually nothing more than a publicity stunt – was never serious despite JLo and the rapper spending New Year’s Eve together and People reporting that Drake allegedly bought her a $100,000 necklace.

Speaking about Drake to Entertainment Tonight amid their supposed romance during a red carpet event in January, JLo refused to confirm or deny if they were actually dating but did admit that they were working on a song together which is yet to be released.

“He just asked me to do a song with him and that’s what we’ve been doing,” Lopez said at the time when asked if she and Drake were dating and getting serious. “We’ll see if it’s on his next album,” JLo teased.

Drake never publicly spoke about JLo and Lopez stayed pretty tight-lipped about what exactly happened between the two, though a source told People after their breakup that Jennifer and the rapper were never really serious, which could be why Jennifer is now referring to her ex as being a “booty call” on stage.

“They like one another and had fun together,” the insider said of the split, confirming that there was no bad blood between the two famous musicians in the wake of the sudden breakup that followed their very short-lived romantic relationship.

“It was and is fun when they see each other,” continued the insider of Jennifer’s past romance. “They love hanging out and making music together. She has great respect for him and his talent and he does for her as well.”

Lopez has since moved on, and it thought to be getting pretty serious with Rodriguez, as Daily Mail reported earlier this month that things are moving fast for the duo.

According to the site, Jennifer and the athlete are allegedly already “talking marriage” after making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala on May 1.
