Synopsis of The Killing Pact (Lifetime)

In Lifetime’s The Killing Pact, Hayley Udall is in need of a break. The single mother has been busy raising her 14-year-old daughter. She has a good paying job. However, times are still tough. And on top of the stress of raising a teen, Hayley has also had to provide for her ex-husband since the divorce. In a strange twist, Haley has to pay her ex-alimony since she makes the most financially. This enrages her. After all, it is her duty to take care of her child, not her ex.

Alimony payments and her ex are the topic of discussion one night after Hayley goes out with a group of friends. While drinking and enjoying herself, she feels relaxed enough to confide in the group about the problems with her ex-husband. It is then that the idea of a killing pact arises.

The killing pact should go something like this: Hayley will kill Melanie’s Aunt Lisa, Kevin will murder Hayley’s ex, and Melanie will kill Kevin’s boss. Melanie believes killing a few undesirables will make the world a better place. Within the pact, each person should have a hand in the killing, and each person will make a promise to cover for the other.

Hayley reluctantly agrees, most likely believing it’s all talk. However, when her ex-husband is actually murdered, she is panicked beyond belief. Even more frightening, detectives are now looking at Hayley as the prime suspect.

With the death of her ex-husband, there is no time to waste. Melanie is expecting for Hayley to kill her aunt, and Kevin’s boss is already as good as dead.

To be sure that Hayley fulfills her end of the death pact, Hayley’s daughter is abducted and held until the deed is done. Now, Hayley has to make a decision between telling detectives about the killing pact so that she can save her daughter or risk going to prison for the rest of her life.
