‘Little People, Big World’: Zach & Tori Roloff Share More About Baby Jackson

Newly minted parents Zach and Tori Roloff teased us with two photos of baby Jackson, but for Little People, Big World fans, that simply wasn’t enough.

On Monday, the couple announced to the world Jackson Kyle’s arrival, three days after his birth. Until then, fans remained glued to the show’s social media pages and the Roloff family members’ Instagram to find out if Tori Roloff had given birth. After the news was shared by the proud parents with images of the baby, Little People, Big World followers were curious to know if he has dwarfism like his father Zach.

“I mean this in the most respectful way possible, I am simply curious- at what point does a parent realize whether or not their child will be a ‘little person’ or not? Do Zach and Tori know? Has it been addressed?” one LPBW fan asked, and replies to the inquiry did not give a definitive answer on whether baby Jackson is a “little person.”

Zach and Tori Roloff revealed concerns of their son inheriting dwarfism in the past according to People, but have not addressed queries pertaining to it since the birth. Jackson Roloff’s weight and height does not provide a clue. However, given the immense interest in the latest addition to the Roloff family, the couple is taking Little People, Big World followers behind the scenes. In their latest vlog, they tell fans how they put together the nursery.

In the video, Tori shares that she painted the mountain-themed mural on the wall and matched it with mountain pillows. A stuffed dog that looks like the family’s pet Sully, which died earlier this year, also finds a place in the crib. The Roloffs have publicly mourned the loss of the pet, and it seems Zach and Tori want their son Jackson to know about Sully, short for Inspector Sullivan. Many Little People, Big World fans did not know about the dog’s passing.

Can’t wait to see Jackson—his nursery is adoreable [sic]! Very creative. I watch your show and so soorry[sic] to read that something happened to Sully! For those of us that don’t know, please advise. He was such a beautiful dog! Sorry for your loss

Tori and Zach also showed off their son’s outfits that hint Jackson may not be a little person. Several LPBW fans have pointed out that while genetic testing along with measurements can show the presence of dwarfism while in the womb and after birth, it is not apparent to the eye until later in childhood. Calling the plane mobile her “favorite thing” in her son’s nursery, Tori goes on to reveal that friends gave her books at her baby shower.

“This is only a small portion,” she says pointing to the reading material that Zach flips through. “Cindy had this idea for my baby shower to have people send me books instead of cards and they also wrote cute little things inside the books.”

The couple’s choice of decor and the way they put the nursery together was lauded by fans, but some also expressed concerns and offered suggestions. One fan suggested that mountain pillows be removed while another wondered if the crib could not have been more “little people” friendly.

“I like Baby Jacksons room! Just wished the crib was more LP friendly like Joe and Tara have on Little People L.A.. it opens on the sides with little doors and the top is open.”

Earlier this week, the couple announced their vlog Zach and T Party of Three on TLC ME to share updates about their growing family. They have begun by reliving the final month of Tori’s pregnancy, building the excitement for Little People, Big World fans for an episode that would feature the newborn’s arrival.
