Saturday Night Live closes out Season 42 this Saturday, and the finale promises to be a good one. Dwane “The Rock” Johnson hosts with Katy Perry as musical guest. Social media is already abuzz with anticipation for what many say is the finale of one of Saturday Night Live’s best seasons since the show first went live on October 11, 1975. Katy Perry and The Rock have a lot of projects in the works, and 2018 promises to be an exciting year for both. Closing out Saturday Night Live with both The Rock and Katy Perry is a win for everyone.
In March, NBC announced via a press release that Saturday Night Live would close out the season with four simultaneously cast live episodes in all markets. Guest hosts for the live episodes include Jimmy Fallon, Chris Pine, Melissa McCarthy, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Saturday’s episode begins at 11:30 p.m. ET, 10:30 p.m. CT, 9:30 p.m. MT, and 8:30 p.m. PT. Those who are watching in Pacific and Mountain time zones will find a replay airs at 11:30 p.m. Additionally, those who want to watch the Saturday Night Live finale but are away from a television set will find several online options available. The final four episodes of SNL have been greatly received, with Melissa McCarthy’s episode bringing in the largest numbers for a May broadcast in seven years, according to an NBC press release.
