Halle Berry’s Ex Due In Court Next Month On Battery Charges

Gabriel Aubry and Halle Berry may be reached an amicable agreement and called truce on matters concerning their daughter Nahla, but that does not mean Aubry’s legal woes are all settled. The movie star’s significant other must appear in court next month to answer the battery charged levied against him after the now famous Thanksgiving Day brawl on Berry’s front lawn.

Berry’s former love remains the subject of an investigation into the alleged criminal act which occurred when Nahla was being returned home after visitation with her daddy, the Los Angeles Times reports. Gabe Aubry maintains that he suffered bruises to his face, cuts that required stitches, and a fractured rib during the fight with Olivier Martinez.

The matter will be heard in a California courtroom on December 13. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Aubry was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery for the alleged physical altercation with Berry’s fiancé. There is allegedly a possibility that a conviction, even a misdemeanor one, could cause the Aubry’s visa to be revoked. If his visa was yanked, he would likely have to move back to his native Canada.

Aubry reportedly had this to say about the encounter with Olivier Martinez which led to the misdemeanor battery charge:

“He continued to punch me at least two or three times, kicked me in the ribs … and took my head in his hands and slammed it to the concrete driveway. It all happened so fast, so suddenly. I did not see Mr. Martinez’s actions coming, and thus, I was not ready for it and was not able to defend myself.”
