Bobbi Kristina And Nick Gordon Breakup Will Be Featured On Their Reality Show
Bobbi Kristina Brown is flying solo again as she and fiance Nick Gordon called off their plans to marry, and the world will soon know exactly why.
The couple announced their engagement on a sneak preview of their reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own, just a month ago, but now those plans are off. Viewers will get to see what came between Bobbi Kristina and Nick.
“They did split. It will come out in the show,” a source told Us Weekly.
Another insider noted that Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon had problems with her family, who never took a liking to Nick.
A separate source told Us Weekly: “I think it has to do a lot with the family not liking Nick, considering he was a godson and then they became a couple. I’m sure there is a lot of, ‘Would Whitney be okay with this?’ going around.”
Nick Gordon actually announced the breakup earlier in November, tweeting, “[Bobbi Kristina] and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been.”
Bobbi Kristina had dropped hints about major life changes as well, tweeting: “I guess it’s time for me to follow what mom and the Lord put out on this path for me. Thankful. Mom. XXO.”
The engagement between Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon was viewed suspiciously from the beginning. They confirmed their relationship in the months after Whitney Houston’s death in February, but were looked down upon by many for the odd arrangement. Gordon was informally adopted by Whitney Houston when he was 12 years old, so he and Bobbi Kristina grew up as siblings.
Lifetime executives are using the Bobbi Kristina-Nick Gordon breakup to generate buzz for the reality show.
“Watch to see how it all unfolds on The Houstons on Lifetime TV,” an executive producer tweeted.
Bobbi Kristina came under more attention this week when she wrecked her Camaro in Georgia. As TMZ reported, she lost control of the vehicle when turning out of an apartment complex and drove down an embankment, hitting small trees along the way.
