Lindsay Lohan Claims She Respects The Law And Wants To Adopt One Day

Lindsay Lohan feels that jail was a blessing in disguise and says she learned a lot from the time she spent alone. The former Disney star also noted during a promotional interview for Liz & Dick that she one day want to adopt a little boy.

The 26-year-old actress has often been compared to Elizabeth Taylor while on the publicity tour for the new television movie, according to Radar Online. Lohan told US magazine that there is one very important difference between herself and the Hollywood legend. Lindsay had this to say about what sets her apart from Liz Taylor:

“Elizabeth was drunk on sets. I’ve never been drunk on set, ever, I did my time and I respect the law.”

The movie star also stated that she learned some valuable life lessons when she was locked up behind bars in 2010. Lindsay Lohan had this to say about her time spent in jail:

“As hard as it was for me to admit it when I was in denial, it was a blessing in disguise. I was in solitary confinement and I took the time to really get into the right headspace. I have it tattoed, Live Without Regrets. I’m not saying I wanted to go to a jail, but I’ve drawn a lot from it.”

Lilo also claims she made the best of a less than stellar situation when she spent time in rehab on multiple occasions. She noted that Marilyn Monroe went to an institution and later said that she might not belong like the world thinks she should, but she will take what she can get and use it to help others.

Lohan also noted during the Liz & Dick interview that despite her fluctuating career path, she is now on the comeback trail and could not cry in movie scenes so quickly without having experienced her past. Lilo had this to say when asked what advice she could go back and giver her teenage self:

“Don’t drink and drive and be careful who you surround yourself with.”
