People’s Choice Awards: Justin Bieber, Channing Tatum Receive Nominations


The People’s Choice Awards announced the list of 2012 nominees on Thursday, according to Reuters. Among the possible winners are Justin Bieber, Channing Tatum, and Joss Whedon’s The Avengers.

Also counted among this year’s nominees are Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jennifer Lawrence, and Emma Stone, all of whom starred in box office hits over the past 12 months. The ceremony is slated to take place on January 9.

The People’s Choice Awards is the only event of its type that covers movies, music, and television. As such, visitors to the official website will find a plethora of voting categories that require their attention.

The nominees for Favorite Movie include The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, and Snow White and the Huntsman. As far as action movies are concerned, take all of the aforementioned films and replace Snow White with Men in Black 3.

Regarding this year’s Favorite Actor, fans will have to choose between such talented heartthrobs as Channing Tatum, Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Will Smith, and Iron Man franchise star Robert Downey, Jr. Choosing only one will surely cause many individuals plenty of sleepless nights.

The nominees for Favorite Actress should come as no surprise to just about anyone who follows pop culture on a regular basis. Fans will have to select a favorite from such acclaimed talent as Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis, and Scarlett Johansson.

If selecting your Favorite Actor and Favorite Actress wasn’t tough enough, voters will also be asked to choose a Favorite Male Artist as well. Blake Shelton, Chris Brown, Jason Mraz, Justin Bieber, and Usher are this year’s nominees.
