Valve has been known to put together a sale or two around the holiday season, and this year is no different. This week, the company kicked off a Halloween-themed sale over on Steam with a selection of titles intended to give you a scare — or at least remind you that Halloween is upon us.
Unlike most Steam sales which can go on for a week or more, this one will be short-lived. The sale officially began on Monday and won’t be going on past October 31.
Valve is discounting over 60 titles in all, with discounts ranging from 25 percent, 50 percent, or even 75 percent in some cases. A few notable horror titles include Alan Wake for $14.99, Amnesia: The Dark Descent for $4.99, Dead Island for $9.99, and FEAR 3 for $4.99.
If you’re looking for something that won’t exactly keep you up at night, Valve is also offering discounts on titles such as Costume Quest for $7.49, RAGE for $9.99, The Secret World for $22.49, and They Bleed Pixels for $3.39.
Most of the above-mentioned titles are found under the featured games section on Steam’s storefront, but there are plenty more deals to be had beyond what’s listed there. The complete Overlord pack is on sale yet again, and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series is also available on the cheap.
Steam’s Halloween sale may not be sticking around for long, but you can bet that Valve isn’t done yet. Steam’s infamous winter sale is still ahead of us, and you can expect at least some of these titles plus many more to be significantly marked down.
Do you plan to pick up anything in the Steam Halloween sale, or are you waiting for the winter offering?
