Why Meghan Markle May Be Just The Woman The British Monarchy Needs To Bring Change

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally gone public with their new, yet serious relationship, which began in the summer after they were introduced by a mutual pal.

Prince Harry and the Suits star have been spotted on numerous occasions in the vicinity of one another’s residences, yet they were only recently finally caught in a snap together walking hand-in-hand. Markle has even been spending lengthy visits to London at Kensington Palace, which is Prince Harry’s main home.

The relationship is reportedly moving so quickly that royal watchers are speculating that an engagement may even be in the cards for the duo. Prior to this point, Prince Harry found navigating relationships a difficult task because the women he dated were not used to the media circus. Due to Meghan already being a celebrity and used to the spotlight, in addition to being a humanitarian, she is a perfect fit for Harry and the royals.

The question is, however, will Meghan Markle be altered entirely by a marriage to the royal, who is one of the world’s most eligible bachelors? The actress has already reportedly put her acting on the back burner a bit since she began her relationship with Harry. Will she still be Meghan Markle as the world knows her, and what effects will she have on the monarchy?

As E! has noted, even Kate Middleton, who the world still refers to using her common name, has been completely altered by marrying into the British royal family. She is in the spotlight constantly and is expected to be looking and acting her best at every moment, which does not seem like a tough task for the Duchess. Kate and Prince William have jointly pushed the boundaries a bit in regard to traditions they follow, and the manner they interact with real people of the world, which will likely be the case if a marriage results between Harry and Meghan. It is likely that Markle will have more flexibility than Middleton has seeing as Harry is only fifth in line for the throne, whereas Prince William is second in line and will definitely rule within his lifetime.

E! shared why Markle is sure to bring benefit to the royals should she and Prince Harry take a walk down the aisle.

“First thing’s first: Her philanthropic ways will obviously fit right in with the royals, particularly Harry, who along with William grew up watching his mother, the late Princess Diana, tirelessly champion a number of causes—and so the brothers have continued in her stead. It’s not much of a stretch to assume that Meghan’s commitment to giving back proved quite appealing to Harry.”

The publication goes on to remind that both Markle and the Prince have charities and initiatives which they support individually and that Markle will likely continue to be able to do so.

“So, while he continues his work on behalf of wounded veterans and HIV/AIDS awareness, Meghan could add accessibility to clean water, women’s education and efforts to help combat poverty around the globe to the schedule. “

Meghan Markle has also been very open about the challenges she has faced as a bi-racial actress which prompted her to launch The TIg, a lifestyle site which shares her own interests. Her heritage was a subject of backlash initially following the relationship being revealed, but Prince Harry stood up for his new love and asked that trolls and critics back off the beauty and that media respect their relationship, as Uproxx reminds.

Meghan Markle is clearly a perfect match for Prince Harry and would be a wonderful addition to the royal family due to her philanthropic ways and grace while in the spotlight.
