Lil Wayne Scolded By Judge For Behavior In Deposition Tapes

Lil Wayne has been scolded by a judge after his latest medical emergency has rendered the rapper unable to appear in court in an ongoing case — and the available deposition tapes display a certain disrespect for proceedings.

Lil Wayne was scolded after the tapes submitted in court reflected somewhat unfavorably on him, the gossip site TMZ reports, saying that, while Wayne’s ongoing illness kept him away, the footage presented was not the type to make a good impression.

TMZ leaked the tapes that caused Lil Wayne to get scolded, posting the depositions last month and describing their contents as such:

“Lil Wayne will not appear at his trial after suffering several seizure-like episodes, and the only Wayne the jury will see is his video deposition — a depo which the judge said shows he acted like an irresponsible little child … Wayne’s lawyer told the judge he will play Wayne’s deposition tapes for the jury, but there will be NO Wayne in person. But that’s a huge problem because the tapes — which TMZ posted last month — show Wayne acting like a child, giving glib one liners and refusing to answer questions.”

Lil Wayne was scolded after a week ending in a reported series of medical emergencies, some of which were disputed by Wayne’s flak.

While the rapper was transported off a plane due to a reported seizure, it was later reported that a second seizure felled the entertainer, again mid-flight.

Reps for Lil Wayne said the rapper did not in fact suffer a second seizure, but reports conflicted with this claim.
