Angelina Jolie: Children Need Help Dealing With ‘Trauma’ After Brad Pitt’s Alleged Abuse

TMZ has learned that Angelina Jolie believes she and her children need professional help dealing with the trauma that resulted from Brad Pitt’s alleged misconduct on a private jet travelling from France.

The alleged abused occurred three months ago. Both sides agreed at the time that they would attend family therapy sessions as part of their temporary custody agreement.

Jolie thinks the kids are so bad off because of what they witnessed on the plane, and the therapy process they’ve been going through isn’t getting the job done.

Jolie reportedly believes that the therapy the kids have been receiving is not doing the trick. On December 1, Jolie’s attorney sent an email to Pitt’s attorney outlining her concerns and demands.

Jolie would like to engage a “trauma specialist” rather than a conventional psychologist or psychiatrist.

Her attorney reportedly wrote that Angelina would like Brad to “participate in joint sessions with a trauma specialist so that they may learn how to best support and interact with their children.”

TMZ claims that Brad’s attorney has already replied. Pitt’s attorney allegedly wrote that Maddox and Pax might not want to meet with Brad at all.

News.com.au previously reported that Maddox was refusing to see Brad Pitt. The shock report claimed that Maddox “doesn’t really see himself” as [Brad’s] son.

The 15-year-old bailed on a scheduled visit with Pitt because he “doesn’t really see himself” as the actor’s son.

Maddox reportedly opted to stay home on October 8 while his mom and siblings Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, went to visit Brad Pitt for the first scheduled supervised visit after the alleged plane incident.

“Maddox is very close with Angie… He doesn’t really see himself as Brad’s son. Maddox never wants to see Brad again.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after the World War Z actor allegedly abused Maddox on the private jet. After the plane landed on the tarmac, an anonymous call was placed to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.

Jolie and her kids were interviewed for three hours by two FBI agents to determine exactly what happened on the plane.

The DCFS proceeded with an investigation and eventually cleared Pitt of any criminal wrongdoing.

Pitt was granted supervised visits with his children when he and Jolie reached a temporary custody deal early in October.

Sources revealed that Pitt was “devastated” when Maddox bailed on the first supervised visit on October 8.

It was emotional for him [Pitt].

A bodyguard named Mark Billingham has revealed that he believes he “basically fathered” Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s kids.

The man told the press that the couple seemed extremely protective of their children.

Angie and Brad are very worried about who goes near their children. It was clear from the start we had a great chemistry and they trusted me with the kids. We got very close, I was living with them all the time.

The insider revealed that Pitt and Jolie trusted him with the children, and this felt like a special privilege because the couple were so wary of most.

Billingham claims he was allowed to take the kids anywhere he wanted to on his own. However, if he tried to recruit others to assist in any capacity Pitt and Jolie would become extremely strict and suspicious.

Billingham reports that outsiders were not even allowed to physically touch the Jolie-Pitt children, they could only look on from a distance.

I could take the kids anywhere I wanted to on my own. No one else was allowed to do that. Even when I wanted to bring in extra people, they wouldn’t let any of those near the kids. They could look out for them from a distance but they couldn’t physically touch them. I took them swimming. I fathered them, basically.
