Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber Aren’t Back Together — They’re Both Single And Planning To Keep It That Way

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber aren’t dating each other, nor are they dating anyone.

While the former couple has faced reports of a potential reconciliation since they split in 2012, a source recently said Selena Gomez is focused on her upcoming music while Bieber has said he is not looking for a girlfriend.

Following a couple comments made by Niall Horan, which suggested the One Direction singer was interested in dating Selena Gomez, a source told Hollywood Life that the 24-year-old had been advised not to date.

“[Selena Gomez] is flattered by what Niall had to say to Ryan, but part of her recovery involves no serious relationships,” a source told the outlet. “In fact, for the time being she’s been advised not to date. Plus, dating is pretty much the last thing on her mind now. She is focused on herself and spending time with close friends.”

As fans may know, Selena Gomez is fresh off an alleged stint in rehab, where she was reportedly addressing symptoms of Lupus, including anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. As Us Weekly revealed to readers in October, Selena Gomez can go to a very dark place and had traveled to a facility outside of Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of getting healthy.

While reportedly participating in a treatment program, rumors swirled claiming Selena Gomez had allegedly gotten a visit from her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, but judging by his Purpose World Tour schedule at that time, those rumors appeared to be false. There were also swirling rumors claiming Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were reportedly back in touch — and allegedly planning to take their relationship to the next level.

“It was only a matter of time before they got back together,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine in November, adding that Bieber had reportedly reached out to Selena Gomez while she was in rehab.

“[Selena Gomez] was all for it… As long as Justin proposes,” the source said of their alleged reconciliation. “She thinks if they just bite the bullet and get married, all of their problems will disappear.”

In the past, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have frequently sparked rumors of a reunion, but when it comes to a possible marriage, they have no such plans and during a recent appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Bieber confirmed he was 100 percent single — and not looking to involve himself in a relationship.

“I am not dating anybody. Single. I’m not really looking either,” Bieber explained to Degeneres, according to a report by NZ Entertainment News on December 8.

Selena Gomez was most recently linked to Niall Horan due to his direct comments about their potential romance and Justin Bieber has most recently been linked to Hailey Baldwin, whom he alleged was spotted with just days ago in Beverly Hills, California.

“Late last night Justin and Hailey ran through the lobby of the Montage and into an elevator together,” an eyewitness told Hollywood Life last week. “They looked happy, giggly and were holding hands.”

As fans of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber will recall, the former couple was seen together one year ago at the Montage in Beverly Hills and during their time at the venue, where Bieber has been known to stay while in Los Angeles, Bieber was seen singing a rendition of “My Girl” to Gomez in the hotel’s lounge area.

Since Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were spotted together in Beverly Hills, they have been seen in the same venue together just once. In March, as Bieber performed a show in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, Selena Gomez was seen supporting him in the audience.
