‘Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ Beta Sign-Ups Today, Trailer Mission Briefing Reveals Full Player Autonomy — Release Date March 2017

The Ubisoft Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta sign-ups are a go. The game is set to release next year. If you don’t make the first round of sign-ups, no worries because there will be other opportunities to register for the beta, according to VG 24/7. A trailer of a mission briefing gave a synopsis of Operation Kingslayer where players will learn methods on how they can take out the cartel. You are allowed “full autonomy” and access to a slew of resources at your disposal.

Ubisoft continues with their open-world gaming format which has been gaining momentum with developers as of late. Another interesting means to accomplish your objective is that you get to choose whatever means necessary to accomplish that goal.

The Ghost Recon: Wildlands trailer mentioned the environment in which your “elite war fighter,” as explained in the footage, will traverse dense jungles, salt flats, and snowy mountainous terrain. From the looks of it, there is even an option to dismantle the Santa Blanca cartel from the inside. How do you think the beta will impress and challenge new players?

Options To Accomplish Objectives

As mentioned earlier, unlike other franchise predecessors, this is an open-world format. You command a four-man army and the game has been inspired by the likes of Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed, according to Games Radar. This Ghost Recon sequel is a refreshing difference from its previous franchise products and offers the ability to choose ways to accomplish objectives. There are even environmental concerns.

The methods by which you could achieve your goals could be by the stealth of night. You can also use your cunning from within the cartel to play one against the other by stirring the pot with information manipulation. Creations can even be made to help guide your character properly to where you need to go. You can even win friends with nearby rebels who oppose the enemy.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Multiplayer/Co-op

This is where the fun starts by either playing co-op with two to four players or play completely solo with controllable AI. Games Radar author Leon Hurley immersed himself in this multiplayer experience at the 2016 E3 Show. Hurley started off with his team doing recon with drones. This is an interesting concept as opposed to just running in for the charge. The idea of making this game methodical in nature adds to the prowess that the developers had so intricately put together.

There was mentioned a level of uncertainty in the game that adds to the realism when Hurley was getting ready to snipe a target that had simply walked behind a van which pretty much botched an easy kill. Instead, this caused things to switch gears to go on a rampage against several cartel members to only then take out the intended target.

This is such an example of the organic nature of the Ghost Recon game and hopefully the beta will give players a first look at what was experienced by Leon. The nuances are incredible as you can consider many options of getting around, taking out, or manipulating information to garner favorable results.

The Bolivian Environment Will Make An Impact

Ghost Recon: Wildlands likely lives up to its name due to the weather conditions and day/night cycles, according to Games Radar. Depending on whether it’s day or night and/or the environmental conditions, this will have an impact on what route or method you take your team to where they need to go. The area of operation is quite sizable and with that said, the open-world gaming format has lived up to its name in the game.

To experience this for yourself, sign up for the Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta at the official Ubisoft site. The game releases on March 7, 2017, on all formats.
