Obama To Answer Questions Live On MTV [Video]

President Obama is reaching out to a younger demographic today with an appearance on MTV.

Obama will sit down for a 30-minute interview with MTV News today at 5 pm EST. You can watch the Q&A on all of MTV’s channels (MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams) or you can watch a live streaming video online.

MTV reports that news correspondent Sway Calloway will sit down with the president at the White House. The President will answer questions from the music channels Facebook page.

The topics will most likely include the rising price of a college education, LGBT rights, health care, immigration reform, clean energy, and reproductive rights.

MTV writes:

“There are just 10 days left before the election, and the 45 million 18- to 29-year-olds eligible to vote in this election are the largest potential voting bloc in the country. They’re looking for answers and hoping that President Obama has some for them. Tune in tonight to find out, on “Ask Obama: An MTV Interview with the President.”

The station said that it has extended an offer to Mitt Romney to participate in a similar event. The Romney campaign has not scheduled anything with MTV yet but the station hopes to do a Q&A before the election.

The president may also have to answer MTV’s famous “boxers or briefs” question.
