Victoria’s Secret 2016 Cyber Monday: Deals Rival Brand’s Semi-Annual Sale

Victoria’s Secret has since rolled out its Cyber Monday deals. It looks like it could be on par with the company’s popular 2016 Black Friday sale and its Semi-Annual Sale.

Victoria’s Secret usually discounts its bras and panties during their Semi-Annual Sale. But as the lingerie brand makes some major changes, such as doing away with their catalogue and swimwear line, it has been marking down bras and underwear for the first time in history, according to the Business Insider. Oppenheimer analysts Anna Andreeva and Samantha Lanman referred to the industry climate as the “bra wars” in their recent note.

The brand has been getting some heavy competition from American Eagle’s Aerie brand and athleisure company Lululemon. As you know, Victoria’s Secret doesn’t just sell underwear and sexy lingerie. The brand also has its PINK underwear and loungewear line, along with sleepwear, sports bras, and leggings. Fellow rival Calvin Klein has also seen a resurgence thanks in part to their celebrity endorsements with singer FKA Twigs and former Victoria’s Secret Angel Kendall Jenner.

Because of this, Victoria’s Secret has been selling bras between $7 and $10 each. It’s less than half of the original price that they offer in their Semi-Annual sale. In addition to the discounts on Cyber Monday, Victoria’s Secret is offering $20 offer a $125 purchase and free shipping on orders over $50 on its website. Victoria’s Secret is not afraid of the hefty competition since it still rules the lingerie industry with an estimated 35 percent of the market share, according to a previous report via IBISWorld.

The Victoria’s Secret 2016 Cyber Monday sale is already live, according to I4UNews. The deals kicked off early this morning at participating Victoria’s Secret stores and on the brand’s official website. Customers are able to get a free tote with their purchase — as long as the tote bags are still available. Cyber Monday deals on the PINK line began rolling out on Sunday.

According to the report, the Victoria’s Secret Cyber Monday sale apparently has a tote that’s different from the Black Friday tote. Customers at participating Victoria’s Secret stores will receive a free pink and black tote striped sequin bag with a purchase of $75. On Black Friday, Victoria’s Secret was offering an oversized black tote with a free multicolored sequin bag. The code for the Victoria’s Secret Cyber Monday tote is MONDAY75 if you prefer to make your purchase online rather than in stores.

Customers can also get the Bling Campus Pullover in three available colors for $40 each instead of the original price of $79.95. Other deals in the 2016 Cyber Monday sale include the Wear Everywhere Collection pieces for $40 and free slippers with every PINK purchase, use code PINKSLIPPER at checkout. The Victoria’s Secret website offers free shipping with $50 and over and $20 off on orders over $125 with codes SHIP50FREE and TAKE20. Customers can take advantage of Victoria’s Secret Cyber Monday sale at the company’s website.

In addition, the Victoria’s Secret models have already left the country on Sunday. The models have already arrived in Paris and will be filming the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Victoria’s Secret veterans Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Jasmine Tookes will be featured in the show, along with newcomer Bella Hadid. The annual fashion show will be filmed on Wednesday, November 30 in the Grand Palais in Paris. However, the show itself won’t premiere on television until December 5 at 10 p.m. on CBS. Apparently, it will only run for one hour instead of the original programming format of running for two hours due to a reported dip in ratings.
