Obama Photobomb: Kissing Schoolkids Steal President’s Limelight

After last month’s Obama photobomb, you’d think the president would be a little more wary of those looking for a piece of his spotlight.

Yet even Obama couldn’t have anticipated this latest show-stealing moment. As the president posed with children from the Daughter Of Zion Jr. Academy in Florida, one pint-sized opportunist decided to seize the moment for himself, leaning over to plant a kiss on his classmate.

Before you could say “cheese,” the second Obama photobomb in as many months was doing the rounds on social media. What is it they say about working with kids?

This endearing Obama photobomb was snapped on Tuesday afternoon, as the president made his way out of Florida. When Obama’s motorcade was waved at by students who had gathered on tennis courts, the president stopped for a quick photo opportunity.

Within minutes, kids from the school in Delray Beach, Florida were posing with Obama on bleachers. The commander-in-chief flashed his signature grin as toddler after toddler was placed in his lap.

Both Obama and presidential rival Mitt Romney are scrapping it out in a closely fought battle for swing state Florida.

Cute shots like this tend to play well with voters (particularly those looking for a moment of light relief in this intense campaign – so that would be most of us), which is why the Obama campaign team quickly took to Twitter to declare the Obama photobomb their “Photo of the Day”:

There’s also this lovely aftermath shot, with the cheeky young romantic grinning at the blushing recipient of his kiss:
