Camila Cabello Doesn’t Do A Bad Job Of Singing ‘Bad Things’

Camila Cabello and Machine Gun Kelly kicked off Thanksgiving Eve in a special way. The two performed their new hit song “Bad Things” live on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Camila Cabello and her Fifth Harmony bandmates took over the 2016 AMAs stage with their performance of “That’s My Girl” earlier in the week. Cabello had all eyes on her when she returned to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (Nov. 23) to perform her new single “Bad Things” alongside rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

According to Teen Vogue, hairstylist Sarah Potempa gave Camila’s signature dark tresses plenty of wave and volume to compliment her edgy yet feminine look. Camila stepped out on stage in a white off-the-shoulder blouse with an open-front maxi skirt, which she paired with silver platform sandals. She also topped off her look with a diamond choker.

Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello’s new single “Bad Things,” which samples Fastball’s “Out of My Head,” is already doing well on the music charts. It soared to the top of the iTunes charts, and it already reached the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100, according to Hip-Hop-N-More. It should rise even higher in the coming weeks, thanks to the sampling and crossover appeal of the song, according to a separate report via HeadlinePlanet.com.

Cabello and MGK’s live performance also helped increase the popularity of the song. Cabello was seen laying across a grand piano as she belted out her lines while Machine Gun Kelly pulled out a guitar, which he shredded at the end the of the performance. Cabello even busted out some of her own hand movements and dance moves, most of which look like something she picked up from BFF Taylor Swift.

Earlier this year at Coachella, Camila was seen teaching Martha Hunt, Serayah, and Kennedy Raye the dance moves from 5H’s video “Work From Home.” They were seen dancing in their bikinis since they were in the hot desert after all, according to Cosmopolitan.com. Taylor was there happily filming the girls practicing their dance moves.

It was rumored that Swift was the one who encouraged Cabello to leave Fifth Harmony and pursue a solo music career. The two singers became fast friends in 2015 after they were spotted in a series of outings. An insider told Hollywood Life that Swift had persuaded Cabello to get “the amazing solo career ahead of her.”

“Time and time again, Taylor has brought to Camila’s attention that she has an amazing solo career ahead of her. It’s gotten to the point where she keeps trying to convince Camila to do a solo album,” the snitch said.

While Camila and Taylor have become close, she doesn’t want to leave the four other girls behind just yet, added the source.

“She respects Taylor’s thoughts and is always very cordial, but Camila doesn’t want to really think about that as she loves being with the other girls of Fifth Harmony.”

Still, she has listened to her friend’s advice out of respect and doesn’t want to hurt their friendship by telling her she’s not going to leave Fifth Harmony since their careers are on the rise, the source further added.

“It’s like walking on broken glass, she loves being friends with Taylor, so she is definitely making it look to Taylor that she is considering it even though it isn’t going to happen. She loves the Fifth Harmony experience way too much!”

Gossip Cop quickly debunked that report after it surfaced. According to the outlet, there is no truth to the Camila Cabello solo music rumors. Swift has never made it look as if she’s trying to break up Fifth Harmony. She even invited the ladies onstage during her star-studded 1989 World Tour. A source told Gossip Cop that Swift has “never ever “tried to convince Cabello to leave the girl group, adding that the rumor was “totally made up.”

Regardless, it looks like Camila has picked up a few pointers from her friend. What are your thoughts on Camila and Machine Gun Kelly’s performance? Sound off below in the comments section.
