Mariah Carey Ready To ‘Move On,’ Not A Good Time In Life Of Diva

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind year for Mariah Carey, who began dating billionaire businessman James Packer to then become engaged in January of this year. The couple seemed deep in love and were said to be planning a summer wedding. When all of the talks about a mid-year wedding halted, rumors began to fly that the two were having second thoughts. Mariah, however, shrugged such claims off, noting that she was simply too busy to focus on planning the big day for this year.

The rumors have proven to be true after news broke that Packer had ended the relationship. Mariah was reportedly heartbroken by the split but according to a recent report, the diva is ready to “move on,” from this troublesome portion of her year and it’s tough to blame her. Following being dumped by James Packer, ugly separation negotiations ensued right around the same time her divorce from Nick Cannon was finalized which was also accompanied by the songstress learning Cannon had gotten another woman pregnant.

“She feels like she dodged a bullet,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. The source goes on to share that the negotiations between her and James Packer, which have taken an ugly turn “aren’t going well,” and that at “best, she’ll keep the ring.”

Recent reports indicate that Carey has demanded $50 million from Packer despite never actually marrying him.

The diva stated that he had made financial promises to her during their relationship. The ring itself could be helpful to the singer seeing as she only made $6.3 million in 2014 and Cannon earned $2.7 million. Nick has agreed to set aside $5,000 a month in a trust for their twin children, who will continue to stay with Mariah.

One term that Mariah and Nick agreed to in their settlement involves their children Moroccan and Monroe who are not to call any other love interest of either of the former couple mom or dad. As reported, news recently broke that Nick Cannon has fathered another little one. The America’s Got Talent host dated Brittany Bell, a former Miss Arizona, on and off a little while back and Bell is now six months along in her pregnancy, as the Los Angeles Times shares.

Nick Cannon confirmed the news a couple of weeks ago after rumors began to fly. While on Power 105.1’s the Breakfast Club, Cannon stated that he “absolutely” had a third child on the way.

“God said be fruitful and multiply!” he joked. “I’m doing the Lord’s work! I attempt to be celibate, but stuff always happens.”

The topic of the new pregnancy is reportedly still a “sensitive” one for Mariah Carey. Although it is only natural for Cannon to move on and stuff happens, it seems like a whole lot of unpleasant “stuff” is happening to Carey lately, following a period of time that made it seem like the diva had the world by the tail. ET shares about an incident recently when paparazzi attempted to find out Carey’s feelings on the subject of Cannon’s baby.

“Paparazzi peppered Carey with questions about Cannon’s baby news after she grabbed some late-night pizza in Los Angeles on Friday with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, but Carey brushed off the topic. ‘Is he talking to me?’ she asked in response to one photographer’s inquiry.”

As Mariah works through this tough point in her life, the diva continues to do her best to put her efforts into her children and her career, which is still hot. Carey is the star of her own docu-series Mariah’s World and continues to sizzle in Vegas while completing her successful residency.
