Melania And Barron Trump Face Huge Commotion With Secret Service At Restaurant In New York City

Melania and Barron Trump faced a huge commotion with the Secret Service on Thursday in New York City when the two went to lunch at a restaurant. Apparently the Secret Service agents made a scene by “sweeping” the popular Serafina restaurant to warn everyone that “she’s coming.” TMZ reports that staffers weren’t sure who “she” was, but it was evident moments later when Melania and her 10-year-old son arrived.

According to the report, Melania and Barron Trump showed up with their own Secret Service detail and sat at a table cleared for them. There was also space for additional patrons they were meeting with. For the record, Melania ate a Di Fabio pizza and Barron ate pasta. The youngest Trump son wasn’t in class because there wasn’t any school due to parent/teacher conferences.

It’s only been a little over a week since Donald Trump was elected the next president of the United States and New York City is swarming with protective detail for the entire Trump family — including grown children, Donald, Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, as well as her husband, Jared Kushner. Trump Tower is literally a fortress and is snagging commutes due to heavy security. Officers from NYPD and Secret Service have their work cut out for them in busy Manhattan as Trump meets with multiple foreign leaders and advisors as his transition team gets sorted out.

The president-elect and his family are in the midst of adjusting to their new life in an even brighter spotlight. Melania and Barron Trump will now be constantly accompanied by the Secret Service wherever they go. Thursday’s incident at the NYC restaurant took some guests by surprise when a team of Secret Service agents burst into the place to alert staff that the future first lady and first son were about to come in. The people joining Melania and Barron were wanded with metal detectors.

“Melania was wearing a red coat and kept it on the entire time,” a source told Us Weekly. “She sat near the pizza oven with Barron. The tables next to them were kept clear for security, but other customers were nearby. Secret Service surrounded them and kept an eye on the other customers.”

Donald and Melania Trump have kept their son shielded from much of the press. Barron Trump was seen standing with the rest of the family after debates his father had against other Republican candidates early in his campaign, as well as debates the president-elect had with his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. The 10-year-old was seen looking far older than his years in suits and ties. He captivated millions when he was at the Republican National Convention in July. Donald Trump delivered his acceptance speech as nominee for the Republican Party late in the evening and Barron was seen fighting sleep. He was yawning and trying to sit still in his seat, but he was understandably bored with the whole event that went on way past his bedtime.

When Donald Trump was announced as the nation’s next president on November 9, Barron Trump walked behind his father as they descended to the stage for the acceptance speech. It was 3 a.m. when Barron was on stage for the duration of his father’s speech. He was quite tired, but managed to pull through it.

As the Inquisitr reported, Barron Trump will be America’s first son in the White House since John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1963.

It’s unclear how often the Trumps will occupy the White House and if Barron Trump will attend a private school in Washington, D.C. He’s said to love the private school he’s currently in, Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in Manhattan.
