Kylie Jenner Finally Reveals Highly-Anticipated Holiday 2016 Cosmetics Collection
Mattes, metals, and glosses— oh my! Kylie Jenner finally revealed what was hiding in her Kylie Cosmetics stocking today on SnapChat. The 19-year-old gave fans a sneak peek at a plethora of exclusive holiday goodies, including new lip kit shades and creme eye shadows. The new collection launches November 21 at 1 p.m. PST, and fans will be gifted a Kylie Cosmetics stocking if they order on Black Friday.
Jenner first teased the stocking reveal two days ago on SnapChat with a follow-up post on Instagram. She posted a quick video saying “you guys aren’t ready” when it came to finding out what new products she would offer.
Kylie asked fans “you ready to see my holiday collection?” on the app after posting several videos of her day with boyfriend Tyga’s son, King. She quickly jumped into sharing what was hiding in the white Kylie Cosmetics stocking. She started by letting fans know minis are back, but this time with different shades.
The holiday minis include fall favorite Moon, as well as popular shades Kristen, Ginger, and Love Bite, plus two holiday exclusives. In true Kylie fashion, she showed several swatches of the newest shades for fans to compare.
Vixen and Angel are two new mattes in her holiday reveal that look a bit similar to Kourt K and Candy K. However, Vixen is a deeper burgundy color while Angel is more pink than other formulas in her collection.
Following the mattes, Kylie shared a swatch of her new gloss, named Jolly in spirit with her holiday theme. In addition to the burgundy Jolly gloss, Kylie also shared a more red version dubbed “Naughty.” She said the glosses are more pigmented and shiny than her previous releases.
“So Naughty and Jolly are brand new exclusive formulas. They’re super rich, pigmented, and way shiner than my other glosses.”
But the fun doesn’t stop with just new lip colors. Jenner had plenty of other treats to offer fans, such as ornaments. The lip kits and glosses are being packaged in silver boxes complete with a bow to hang on your tree.
She also has new creme eye shadows and a holiday exclusive holiday Kyshadow palette. The three new creme shadows are similar to her past colors of copper and gold. In fact, one of the new holiday shadows is called Yellow Gold. In addition to the gold color, Kylie released Camo and Golden Plum, both of which are just as pigmented and sparkle-y as past creme shadows.
As for the Kyshadow palette, before Jenner showcased the colors, she gave fans a glimpse of the shade names. With nine holiday-themed names: Sugar Cookie, Frosty, Chestnut, Mittens, Winter, Nutcracker, Gingerbread, Evergreen, and Silent Night, it was hard to tell just what shades the palette consists of, but Kylie said she was inspired by jewel tones.
She later shared swatches of the shadows with help from Jordyn Woods.
In addition to the makeup, Kylie announced there’s a new holiday cosmetics bag to store the collection and her first-ever brush set. She didn’t tell fans when to expect the collection to launch until the end of her SnapChat showcase, and will undoubtedly keep updating fans via her app and social media when the release date gets closer. Unlike older sister Kendall Jenner, who recently deactivated her Instagram, Kylie is an avid user of all social media channels.
Jenner generates a large following thanks to her Kylie Cosmetics line, which has seen much success since its launch last November. She is constantly updating the line in accordance with seasons and holidays, and effectively keeps her fans coming back for more. She also recently announced her first collaboration, in which she partnered with sister Khloe Kardashian to create the limited-edition Koko Kollection.
The collection of three mattes and one gloss sold out within minutes of being launched this month. However, Kylie announced a second release set for November 17 at 3 p.m. PST due to popular demand.
