Little Mix Get Naughty Despite Being Role Models For Young Fans

Little Mix are sexing things up with their latest photo shoots and interviews. The British girl group have become the latest victims of slut-shaming with their live performance of their new song “Shout Out to My Ex” on The X Factor UK. Little Mix has been slammed for twerking on stage and performing in provocative outfits.

While the girl group are clearly role models for young girls everywhere with their colorful persona and poppy songs, the girls are clearly growing up these days. Little Mix have stated in previous interviews that their forthcoming album, Glory Days, is their most honest album to date. Their album is expected to touch on personal topics such as heartbreak and sex.

The foursome is also using their latest album to bash their exes, and they don’t care what anyone thinks, according to Cosmopolitan. In an interview with the Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne admitted that the group doesn’t plan to “shy away from situations that have happened.”

“We’ve all been through heartbreak and love, so we’ve written a song that girls can relate to. It’s kind of an ‘up yours!’. I love that they will think: ‘Oh f*** you,’ when they heart it. That’s why I feel so lucky that we can express ourselves through our music. In my opinion, they always come back and this could be a way of saying: ‘Do you know what? Too late. I didn’t like you anyway!'”

Little Mix was even featured in the November 13, 2016, issue of Fabulous. The curvaceous singers are seen flaunting their underwear in matching denim looks. Jesy Nelson, who is braless on the cover, revealed that she embraced a newfound confidence by refusing to read cruel comments about her on social media.

The interview also includes the women talking about faking orgasms when they feel their sexiest, and Perrie Edwards opens up about what she’s learned from past relationships. Edwards ended her engagement to Malik last year. The “Pillowtalk” singer has since moved on with model Gigi Hadid. Edwards revealed that she doesn’t want anyone to have control of her happiness anymore.

“Never let a man walk all over you or be in control of your happiness. I think that’s what sucks. When you start falling in love with someone, they become in control of your emotions. As a woman you have to keep your wits about you and to make sure you’re in control. So, if he p***** you off one day, let it go. Life goes on!”

Edwards has also admitted that she’s felt the “pressure” that comes with being in the public eye. She and the other girls posed for a sexy photo shoot for Fault Magazine, which features them showing off their curves in various evening gowns. Edwards, 23, is photographed wearing a lavender silk dress in the photo shoot, according to the Daily Mail. In the accompanying interview, the singer opened up about being a role model for young girls despite their sexy new persona. The girls appear to be flattered by the huge responsibility.

“I think being named role models kind of happened just naturally, we never really asked for it. Which is lovely, I love the fact that girls look up to us and we empower people and inspire them. And if that means that we’re being role models by just being ourselves, then that’s incredible. It’s a massive compliment.”

She went on to address the scrutiny that she and Little Mix have received for their super sexy image.

“We don’t think it’s fair that women get scrutinized more than men. Everything is harder for a woman in every kind of aspect and that’s why we try to empower women with our music, our image and everything we stand for. If we can help a little bit, then we’re doing okay.”

Their forthcoming album, Glory Days, is scheduled for release later this month. What are your thoughts on Little Mix’s latest photo shoots and interviews? Sound off below in the comments section.
