Selena Gomez Is Not Marrying Justin Bieber, Is He Still Dating Sofia Richie?
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were targeted with a rumor earlier this week which claimed the couple was on the verge of a “secret wedding.”
According to the report, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were back in touch as Gomez treated symptoms of Lupus at a Tennessee rehab and planning to get married after rekindling their previously strained relationship.
“Selena & Justin: Secret Wedding!” read a headline shared by In Touch Weekly magazine.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber “are talking again — and it’s gotten so serious that the pair are planning to get married,” an alleged source told the magazine, according to a report by Gossip Cop on November 9. “Justin reached out to Selena a few weeks ago while she was in rehab. She was surprised to hear from him, but soon they were talking all the time.”

Selena Gomez has been struggling with mental illness in recent months and according to the report, Bieber wants to take Gomez out of the spotlight in Los Angeles and relocate to a more private place.
“[He] told [Selena Gomez] that he wants to move with her to a place far away from L.A., like her hometown of Grand Prairie, Texas or his native Canada… Selena was all for it as long as Justin proposes. She’s already talking as if they are engaged,” the source continued.
As for Selena Gomez’s reported plans to marry Bieber, whom she feuded with on Instagram just weeks ago, the In Touch Weekly magazine source suggested she was hoping for a beach wedding.
“[Selena Gomez] will get married in private,” the source alleged. “She’s telling friends they will run off somewhere tropical, like the Caribbean, Hawaii, or maybe Mexico. She thinks if they just bite the bullet and get married, all of their problems will disappear.”
In response to the report, however, Gossip Cop was told that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s rumored plans for marriage and a “secret wedding” were untrue.

Selena Gomez began her relationship with Justin Bieber in 2010 and continued to date the “Cold Water” singer until 2012, when they split after an alleged fight while on vacation. Since then, the exes have been seen together frequently and often sparked rumors of a possible reunion. In fact, just months ago the two engaged in a flirty exchange on Instagram, despite Bieber being linked to both Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Baldwin at the time.
In March of this year, after spending time together in Beverly Hills at the end of last year, Bieber posted an old photo of himself and Selena Gomez on Instagram and wrote “Feels” in the caption. In response, Selena Gomez left a comment on the post, which read, “Perfect,” and was later seen at one of his Purpose World Tour shows in Los Angeles.
At the time, fans of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber believed they were all but back together but unfortunately, nothing came of their online flirtation and Gomez and Bieber haven’t been seen together publicly since she supported him at his show.
Over the summer, Justin Bieber sparked rumors of a new relationship when he began sharing photos of himself and Sofia Richie on Instagram. However, in September, as he embarked on his Purpose World Tour in Europe, the couple parted ways before a brief reunion with one another in London, where Bieber was performing last month.
