‘WWE Monday Night Raw’ Results: Major Updates Announced For ‘Survivor Series 2016’

With less than two weeks until Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live go head-to-head at WWE Survivor Series 2016, all five members of the Men’s Traditional Elimination Match for the red brand — including Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman — faced each other in the main event of Raw. As Dean Ambrose continues to chase the WWE World Championship on the blue brand, both Rollins and Reigns want a piece of the biggest prize exclusive to WWE Raw. But Seth and Roman will both be members of the team captained by Jeri-KO as they face Ambrose, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Baron Corbin at Survivor Series.

WWE Monday Night Raw Results

The following includes the results of all the matches and segments from WWE Raw on November 7, which aired live from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. Raw has won the “ratings war” ever since the separate rosters were established, although SmackDown Live continues to keep the competition close. Will the potential (yet partial) reunion of The Shield and the build-up towards WWE Survivor Series 2016 be enough to keep the ratings victory streak alive for Raw?

Raw Pre-Show on the WWE Network

Scott Stanford hosted the Raw Pre-Show and was joined by Lita, Booker T, and Jerry “The King” Lawler in the studio. As usual, Cathy Kelley had a segment near the end of the Pre-Show that updated viewers on all things important to the WWE Universe on social media. Charly Caruso also gave an update from backstage at Raw, which has become a weekly tradition.

Stephanie McMahon announced Seth Rollins as fifth member of Survivor Series team

The Commissioner of Monday Night Raw opened the first-ever show in Glasgow by bringing out all five members of the Men’s 5-On-5 Elimination Match for Team Raw, officially announcing Seth Rollins as the fifth member. When it was clear that all five men had some serious issues with each, Stephanie announced that the main even for this week’s Raw would be a Fatal Five-Way Match: Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman.

Before the commercial break, they also confirmed that the five tag teams representing Team Raw at the Survivor Series would be The New Day, Cesaro and Sheamus, Enzo and Big Cass, Gallows and Anderson, and The Golden Truth.

Rich Swann and Sin Cara defeated Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar

As the WWE pushes the premiere of the new WWE Network-exclusive program 205 Live, Noam Dar made his Monday Night Raw debut in his home country. Rich Swann pinned Kendrick for the win, giving him his third pinfall victory over the champ in recent weeks. After the match, Kendrick blamed Dar for the loss. When things got physical, it was the hometown hero who forced the WWE Cruiserweight Champion out of the ring.

Stephanie McMahon scheduled Sami Zayn vs. Rusev — winner to face Ziggler at Survivor Series

According to the backstage conversation between Sami Zayn and the Commissioner of Raw, it was GM Foley that thought Sami Zayn should get the shot at Dolph Ziggler’s WWE Intercontinental Championship. Stephanie, however, believed that Rusev should face The Showoff at Survivor Series. She told Sami that the two WWE Superstars would go one-on-one tonight, with the winner going on to represent Raw against the IC champ.

The New Day addressed the other Team Raw tag teams

Further building hype for Survivor Series 2016, The New Day came out to rally the troops together for the 10-On-10 Elimination Match. Eventually, they all agreed to coexist long enough to defeat SmackDown Live. It was then announced that the Raw Tag Team Champions would face The Club in a non-title match.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated The New Day

Proving that it takes more than holding the tag titles to come across as the most dominant team in the division, Big E fell victim to the Magic Killer, as The Club got a victory over the champs.

The Shining Stars defeated The Golden Truth and take their spot at Survivor Series

Earlier in Raw, R-Truth told Goldust that he had traded their spot on Team Raw to The Shining Stars for a month-long vacation at one of their resorts. A match was set up with the winning team earning the right to fight for Monday Night Raw at the Survivor Series. Epico and Primo got the win, so they will officially replace Goldust and R-Truth at this month’s PPV.

Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox were announced for Team Raw at Survivor Series

Joining Charlotte, Nia Jax and Bayley at Survivor Series 2016 will be veteran Alicia Fox and recently-former champion Sasha Banks. Of course, everyone talked smack in the ring, and with Dana Brooke at the Raw Women’s Champion’s side, a Six-Woman Tag Team Match was set up.

Bayley, Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox defeated Charlotte, Dana Brooke and Nia Jax

The so-called “weakest link” pinned the Raw Women’s Champion after Charlotte accidentally hit teammate Nia Jax with a big boot before turning around and eating a Bayley-To-Belly Suplex. When the women were trying to cut their promos before the match, Bayley had her own Daniel Bryan moment, when the crowd continued to chant for her no matter who else was speaking.

Sami Zayn defeated Rusev — Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler set for Survivor Series

In a clean match, Sami Zayn got the pinfall victory over Rusev after hitting a Helluva Kick as the Bulgarian Brute was perched on the top rope. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series has all of the ingredients for an instant classic.

Kevin Owens pinned Chris Jericho in the Fatal 5-Way Match

As the main event was winding down, Roman Reigns managed to hit Universal Champion Kevin Owens with a Superman Punch. The Prizefighter fell on top of an already-prone Y2J, and the referee gave the three-count. At Survivor Series, all five men will have to put their differences aside to face the team from SmackDown Live.

The above WWE Raw results will be corroborated by WWE’s official Monday Night Raw page.
