‘Walking Dead’ Season 7 Cast Member Talks: Steven Yeun Calls ‘TWD’ Premiere ‘Beautifully Terrible’ – Will Glenn Rhee Fans Agree? [Spoilers]

The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres tonight on AMC. Fans are wondering who Negan killed in the season finale and the answer is finally going to be revealed. In an interview, Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn Rhee on TWD, said that the premiere episode is “beautifully terrible.”

Spoilers may be ahead. If you don’t want to chance finding out what could happen during the season premiere, then do not continue reading.

In just a few hours, TWD fans will be turning on their television sets to find out who Negan killed. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, spoilers state Glenn and Abraham die in The Walking Dead. Season 7 premieres tonight, which means the long wait to find out who dies will come to an end.

Walking Dead fans are being told that the episode will be emotional and Yeun said something similar. The TWD actor who plays Glenn Rhee told Variety that tonight’s episode is “beautifully terrible.” The conversation came about when Steven answered questions about who Negan killed. Although the actor wouldn’t confirm or deny any information, he did speak about what it’s like to lose a cast member. He said that it is difficult when people leave a television show.

“As an actor you come to terms that things might be ending for somebody. You go over all the things you experienced together and what a great time it was for everyone. So that way, it’s beautifully terrible. It’s bittersweet.”

There are some in the Asian-American community who are especially worried about what happens if and when Glenn dies on The Walking Dead. The actor had something to say about that as well, although he doesn’t share the same concerns.

“I think we should be very excited about what’s to come, the future of Asian-Americans in this industry. As the next generation grows, the skill, talent, passion gets larger and better. You look at some of these kids on these shows and they’re incredible. I wouldn’t worry. I think whatever happens [to my character], there’s a lot of life out there for a lot of Asian-Americans.”

With the chance that Glenn dies on The Walking Dead, how will fans of Glenn react? Not very well, that’s for sure. Viewers have watched the character mature over the seasons. When he was first introduced, Glenn was a former pizza delivery driver who was full of sarcastic remarks, had questions about girls, and didn’t seem like the type who would survive long-term. Years later, he has grown into a mature man with a wife and a child on the way. He has wisdom and street smarts, often one of the first to have creative ideas about how to overcome obstacles.

During New York Comic-Con, the cast of TWD answered questions about the show and their characters. Many thought Yeun slipped up by calling Glenn and Maggie’s relationship “classic.” He also used the term “was” instead of “is.” There are others who took that to mean Lauren Cohan could be exiting the show since she was so emotional.

It would be cruel to have two pregnant women die. First, Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies) died, although the child survived. Would fans be able to endure Maggie’s death on The Walking Dead? In Robert Kirkman’s comic books, Maggie has an important role at the Hilltop Colony. It seems premature to let her go now since viewers can’t see anyone else leading the community.

As for how fans can be so sure Steven Yeun is exiting the show, The Spoiling Dead Fans noted a few months ago that Glenn and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) have not been seen filming Season 7 since Episode 1. Perhaps that means they really do die. Maybe the crew has just done an excellent job at sneaking them in and out. Fans will just have to wait until tonight to find out.

What do you think of what Steven Yeun had to say about the Season 7 premiere? Do you believe Glenn and Abraham die on The Walking Dead?
