Jeremy Vuolo, On ‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’, Confesses Proposal Lacked Prep: Jinger And The Duggars Surprised By Engagement Ring News

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo got engaged lighting fast, so it’s no wonder that he didn’t have time to think through all the steps. On the most recent preview for Jill and Jessa: Counting On, Jeremy confessed that he “hadn’t even thought about” what he was going to say before presenting his future wife with the engagement ring.

Let’s hope that Jinger Duggar’s fiance will be much more prepared when their wedding rolls around.

Proposals can be nerve-wrecking business, especially when one has not dated, or in Duggars’ terms, courted, the prospective spouse for a very long time. While Jeremy had decked the proposal location with fairy lights, live classical music, and photographers, he had not thought about the perfect wording to precede the engagement ring.

“As we were walking up the stairs, about to go out onto the roof, my heart started to beat faster and faster,” he said on the Counting On preview. “And believe it or not, I hadn’t even thought about what I was going to say.”

Maybe the reason that Jeremy didn’t think through what he was going to say was because he wanted to surprise her as much as he could. When he did go down on one knee and whip out that engagement ring, Jinger was shocked beyond belief.

“The 29-year-old former professional soccer player proposed after a few months of chaperoned ‘courting,'” reports Daily Mail. “The proposal was made on a New York City rooftop with religious music provided by a cello and guitar.”

“You shocked me… I had no clue… I thought it would be at least another month and a half,” Jinger Duggar said.

Thanks to social media, and her sisters, Jill and Jessa, who have very active Instagram accounts, Jinger and Jeremy’s engagement has been known to the fans before the episode of Counting On debuted on TLC. In fact, the Duggars have been actively documenting the courtship, as well as the engagement, of Jinger.

In particular, Jill Duggar Dillard has used this opportunity to give her fans behind-the-scenes look at Jinger and Jeremy as they were courting. She even “stalked” them to get an up-and-close view on one of their goodbyes.

Jessa Duggar Seewald also has been taking part in congratulating her younger sister on the happy news. She even dubbed Jinger as her “best friend,” leaving all her other sisters out in the cold.

These are the happiest months for Jinger and Jeremy, as they enjoy the most romantic months of engagement leading up to their wedding. Seeing how she is a Duggar, it’s very likely that the wedding will happen sooner rather than later.

“So excited to share this news that we are now engaged,” Jinger and Jeremy said to People Magazine a couple of months back. “From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we’ve received during the courtship. We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together. It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days.”

Also knowing that her sisters, Jill and Jessa, got pregnant just months after their wedding, the 22-year-old newly-engaged Duggar may also have a baby of her own in the next year or so. If she does, then she will have a plethora of strong Duggar women to help her through her first pregnancy.
