‘American Horror Story: Roanoke’ Twist Brings Back Taissa Farmiga And Finn Wittrock

Fans who have been wondering about the possibilities of Taissa Farmiga and Finn Wittrock returning to American Horror Story have now found out that it’s all true. The two will return in Season 6, but the details haven’t been shared just yet.

Showrunner Ryan Murphy shared details on the American Horror Story: Roanoke twist earlier this week. The return had already been teased, but now fans are getting to find out some of the details. All the changes will happen with Episode 6, but they are bigger than many people expected. It turns out that some of the actors will take on different characters for the rest of the season, including the likes of Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson, as E! Online reports.

Murphy recently shared that some of the actors had to create new voices and accents. The change in storyline has also lead to bringing Farmiga and Wittrock back into the cast.

Wittrock had already shared details of American Horror Story Season 6 earlier this year, as the Inquisitr has previously reported. He said that while he wanted to come back for the season, he wasn’t sure if it was possible. There were scheduling conflicts. He’d also confirmed that the cast was much smaller than previous years, so there may not have been an option for him.

Now it turns out that he is definitely returning, but it isn’t clear how long for. Judging by the trailer for American Horror Story: Roanoke Episode 6, the rest of the season will move onto behind the scenes of the filming. It could be possible that the real Roanoke ghosts will come back to haunt them, and Finn is actually one of those ghosts. He could also be a member of the camera crew. We do know that his character will be one of the weirdest the show has ever seen, which says a lot considering the previous years.

Farmiga’s return was speculated during the summer break, after a photo circulated with her meeting up with the crew of the show. There are rumors that she could reprise her role from Season 3, since it turns out that Lady Gaga’s character is actually the Original Supreme. She may be part of the documentary that discusses the Supreme and the power the Supreme holds.

It is also possible that she will play one of the colony ghosts or her storyline will be connected to the Original Supreme in another way. Maybe she will be one of the first witches the Original Supreme finds to create the coven.

With so little information about American Horror Story Season 6, it is very difficult to speculate and theorize on the story. Murphy has opened up about the upcoming storyline and how there will be the “most f****d up character of all time” appearing, but there is nothing more concrete to work from. The trailer looks like we are now taking a trip behind the camera to see the actors working on the documentary side of the filming.

Over the last few weeks, fans have been focusing on how all the different seasons connect with the current AHS storyline. There seemed to be a connection or resemblance with each season from episode to episode. Now it looks like the main connections have been with Seasons 3 and 4, through the Original Supreme and the Mott family.

American Horror Story: Roanoke continues on Wednesdays. This week will see the twist, as we go behind the scenes and see Cheyenne Jackson on the screen for the first time this season. What do you think the big twist is going to be with the Season 6 storyline?
