Taylor Swift Supports Selena Gomez After The Cancellation Of Her ‘Revival Tour’

Taylor Swift has been a close friend of Selena Gomez for years, and now that Gomez is struggling with issues concerning her mental health, Swift is reportedly stepping up in support of her longtime friend and fellow musician.

For the past several years, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have had a solid friendship and proved their ongoing support and loyalty to one another through the ups and downs of their individual romances as well as the ups and downs of their careers. Now, following the sudden cancellation of Selena Gomez’s “Revival Tour,” Swift has been said to be staying in close contact with the troubled 24-year-old.

On October 17, the Stopru claimed Swift was going above and beyond for Selena Gomez and had even offered to let her stay at her home while she continued to address symptoms of Lupus, which have included anxiety, panic attacks and depression. Although Gomez appears to be in rehab at the moment, she ironically chose a rehab location which is close to where Swift grew up in Tennessee — and where Swift currently owns a huge home.

“[Taylor Swift] offered to let [Selena Gomez] stay with her and use her private plane during her hiatus,” a source told Us Weekly, according to a report by Hollywood Life last week.

Selena Gomez kicked off her “Revival Tour” in May in Las Vegas and was expected to continue touring until December, when her tour concluded with a series of shows in Mexico. Sadly, however, the singer didn’t make it through to the end and in August of this year, she revealed she would be taking some time off to address her mental health concerns.

“[Taylor Swift] couldn’t be more supportive of [Selena Gomez]’s decision to postpone her tour. She is so proud of her for making her health her number one priority,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life on August 31, just one day after Selena Gomez made her announcement to People Magazine.

In a statement to fans about her decision to cancel her “Revival Tour,” Selena Gomez explained that she needed to face her issues head-on in order to be the best version of herself possible. She also said that she hoped her decision would help others who are battling the same demons.

“The two have been in constant communication with each other” during Selena Gomez’s tough time, another Hollywood Life insider explained. “[Taylor Swift] has made it clear to Selena that she has her back and can come spend time with her whenever she wants.”

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift spend time together when they can, but earlier this year, they appeared to be quite busy with their own careers and sometimes dramatic love lives. As Gomez tended to her tour and faced allegations of a reunion with Justin Bieber, whose concert she attended in March, Swift endured tons of drama in her personal life due to her romances with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston.

Now, as Selena Gomez takes an undetermined amount of time away from the spotlight, Swift has been enjoying her free time as well and hopes to see her longtime friend as soon as she is available.

“[Taylor Swift] wants to try and see [Selena Gomez] as soon as she can to give her a big hug,” the source added.

While Selena Gomez tends to her issues in rehab, Swift has been spending time in New York City with friends, including Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne.
