Biden-Ryan Debate Hype Gearing Up, Drinking Games Light Up Social Media

As the Biden-Ryan debate approaches this evening, political nerds are gearing up for a showdown, and, as the smackdown draws nearer, drinking games are becoming an increasingly spotted fun bit of debate culture on the internet.

The Biden-Ryan debate tonight is the second big debating event of the election, not counting the seeming dozens of GOP debates as the field narrowed and Mitt Romney ultimately took top spot.

The Biden-Ryan debate is looked at by liberals as a chance to gain ground many believe was lost during Barack Obama’s sedate performance during last week’s debate, the first of three between Obama and Romney.

Conservatives are gearing up for the Biden-Ryan debate as well, hoping Paul Ryan will out-charisma elder statesman Joe Biden and keep the ball rolling in what they see as a spate of GOP momentum.

But one of the cooler things about the Biden-Ryan debate and similar events is what social media has done for political geeks and those who prefer policy smackdowns to touchdowns. Social media has presented a new forum for those of us who prefer politics to sport, and, while baseball fans gather at bars for playoffs, geekier sorts cluster on Facebook and Twitter to watch the “games” as they unfold on TV and livestreams.

Cloture Club posted an excellent Biden-Ryan drinking game bingo board for policy geeks, and, if you want to play along at home during the cage match between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan, their helpful drinking game below should be of some assistance.

Are you planning to tune in to the Biden-Ryan debate tonight? Do you project a clear winner?

Conceding that he failed to deliver at last week’s debate, President Obama says he was “just too polite”.

    WILLARD ROMNEY:

" Well, there are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right? There are 47% who are with him. Who are dependent upon government, who believe that– that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they're entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing, to you name it. But that's– it's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. "

" And– and so MY JOB IS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE! I'll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5% to 10% in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion. Whether they like the guy or not. "

My last pay check was $9759 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. The potential with this is endless. This is what I do, Buzz17.cøm.
