Questioned About Trump Evidence, Ben Carson Said, ‘Turn Her Microphone Off,’ ‘Get It Through Your Thick Skulls’

Update: 10:15 p.m. ET: The Reuters article has been updated with the evidence promised by Governor Pence. It amounts to the testimony of Anthony Gilberthorpe, who claims that he was seated near Donald Trump and Jessica Leeds, one of the women that has come forward with allegations, on a flight to New York City over 30 years ago. The witness is now in his 50s and was a teenager at the time of the incident.

“I was there, I was in a position to know that what she said was wrong, wrong, wrong,” Gilverthorpe reportedly stated.

Original article: Dr. Ben Carson made an uproarious appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe earlier today, where the former Republican presidential candidate was asked about Mike Pence’s statements that evidence exits calling into question the latest allegations of sexual impropriety against his party’s nominee, Donald Trump, and that the accusers have “fabricated” their claims, as reported by Reuters.

The Indiana governor reportedly stated that the exonerating Donald Trump evidence will be made available today.

When asked if he had any “insight” into Governor Pence’s assertions with regard to the new Trump evidence, Ben Carson said that he did not, but that he did have “common sense.”

“If somebody’s sitting next to you in the first class section of an airplane; there are stewardesses, there are other people around, and just gigantic armrests,” the neurosurgeon stated.

Dr. Carson then noted that he had “predicted” that events would run the course they have because they (seemingly referring to the media) keep manufacturing things to “take your eye off the ball.”

The former presidential hopeful described the United States as exhibiting traits similar to other “pinnacle” countries prior to “their fall.”

Carson then attempted to continue to pivot, making an analogy between the United States and a train running off a metaphorical cliff.

Joe Scarborough stopped Dr. Carson and asked for more elaboration on the doctor’s answer to the first question, referencing a need for voters to evaluate the “character of the conductor.”

The MSNBC host described entire countries rising and falling based on the character of their leaders.

Barely addressing the question, Carson stated that “a good conductor” needs strong decision-making skills. He then turned immediately back to fiscal responsibility and corruption being the root cause of the failure of historical pinnacle nations.

Scarborough cited research indicating that Donald Trump economic plans would lead to larger debt and deficits than Democrat Hillary Clinton’s. Carson called the reliability of the research into question.

“It depends on which economist you want to look at,” Dr. Carson stated. “But let’s throw the economists out and let’s use common sense.”

“Well, let’s use math,” Joe Scarborough replied.

Ben Carson then spoke, rather eloquently, with regard to historical economic growth. A female voice, possibly Katty Kay, could be heard giggling on the MSNBC audio while Carson spoke.

“You just said throw the economists out. That really smacks of something that happened during the Brexit campaign in the U.K.,” Katty Kay then stated.

Kay noted an existing viewpoint that listening to economic experts is somehow misguided and questioned whether listening to them may “not be such a bad idea.”

Katty Kay directed Carson back to the sexual abuse allegations against Donald Trump, the evidence against him, and the evidence that is said to come today that will exonerate him.

Kay stated that Carson has been suggesting that women who have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct by Donald Trump are “lying” and that people holding this viewpoint are a root cause of why women who have been the victims of sexual abuse don’t come forward.

“Are you saying these women are lying?” Kay asked Carson pointedly.

“That’s your characterization,” Carson responded. “Because you need to characterize it that way to try to make me the bad guy.”

The interview then appeared to descend into chaos with Joe Scarborough and Carson yelling unintelligibly over each other for several seconds. Dr. Carson then held up his hand up and said “stop” several times, while Scarborough told the Republican not to tell him to “stop.”

“Would you turn her microphone off, please,” Carson asked, presumably with regard to Katty Kat.

“No,” Scarborough said bluntly. “It’s a simple question. Yes or no. Do you believe these women?”

Carson expressed the view that whether the accusers are being honest or not is irrelevant and returned to the analogy of the United States being a train headed off a fiscal cliff.

Kay then continued to press Carson with regard to his statements about the first class airplane cabin where Jessica Leeds was alleged to have been groped, as previously reported by the Inquisitr.

It was noted that Carson had never had any similar accusations levied against him, despite his image as a public figure, but that Donald Trump has had numerous allegations of sexual assault, from many women, made against him.

Dr. Carson began to appear exasperated, stating that dealing with the media was like talking to a “brick wall.” He cited the future of America’s children and $20 trillion in national debt. The Republican called for unity among both Democrats and Republicans with regard to the issue.

“Get it through your thick skulls,” Carson demanded.

“My skull’s not really that thick,” Joe Scarborough responded.

Judaeo-Christian values were discussed when Scarborough took exception with Carson’s labeling of the media as “you people.”

“Why can’t you just give a straight answer?” The MSNBC host asked.

Carson stated that the host should just “listen to what I’m telling you.”

The conversation continued to a point when Dr. Carson spoke about the duty of the media to be “objective” and to speak on behalf of “the people.” He stated that this is the reason for the existence of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

“Thus, the job of journalists is not to stamp out bias. Rather, the journalist should learn how to manage it,” is what the American Press Institute states with regard to media bias.

Scarborough then sipped a beverage and asked Ben Carson what side he had taken, stating that both Democrats and Republicans accuse him of supporting both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Scarborough has served as a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Scarborough then described his view that different news organizations, and people, each have different points of view.

Dr. Carson suggested that Joe Scarborough should work toward becoming a “champion for the people.”

“I am the champion of the people, sir,” Scarborough returned, as laughs could be heard in the MSNBC studio.

“Work on your colleagues,” Dr. Carson suggested.

Mediate described the Carson-Trump evidence interview as going “from nuts to nuclear,” with at least one blogger, Joe.My.God, describing Carson as suffering from a “meltdown.”
