Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton’s Disneyland Date: Blake Adorably Plays Dad To Gwen’s Kids

Gwen Stefani got Blake Shelton to do something he’s never done before ahead of their one-year anniversary — she took her cowboy beau to Disneyland. During their trip, Blake got the chance to act like a total tourist dad by doting on Gwen’s three sons from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale: Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2. The group looked like one big happy family as they explored the Happiest Place on Earth together.

Gwen Stefani, former ruler of the Tragic Kingdom, has spent so much time at Disneyland over the years that she might as well be crowned an official princess of Mickey Mouse’s magical kingdom. Gwen grew up near the beloved theme park in Anaheim, California, and now she often treats her sons to trips to the place where she made so many great memories. As Us Weekly reports, Blake Shelton joined them on their most recent Disneyland visit, and he was photographed wearing a “1st Visit!” button on his shirt. If you’re a Shefani fan, you’re probably imagining Gwen making her cute shocked face after Blake informs her that he’s never been to Disneyland before.

Gwen was photographed putting her arm around Blake and holding hands with him during their October 12 visit, but it’s the photos of Gwen Stefani’s youngest son, Apollo, that are making Shefani fans’ ovaries explode. Blake was photographed carrying the tuckered-out two-year-old around, and it’s clear from the pictures that the cowboy and the cute little Cali boy have developed a strong bond over the past year. Apollo was even photographed trying to steal Blake’s Smithworks Vodka baseball cap, proving that Blake isn’t the only guy in Gwen Stefani’s life who loves to clown around.

As E! News reports, Gwen and her group rode the Alice in Wonderland, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Small World rides.

Gwen Stefani and her sons also visited Disneyland last November, which is the month that Gwen and Blake made their relationship official. Blake was unable to go to the theme park with them at the time, but Gwen made sure to include him in the fun. As Entertainment Tonight reports, she was spotted facetiming Blake on her phone.

Disneyland has been a big influence on Gwen Stefani, so it’s not surprising that she wants to share her love for the theme park with Blake. The title of No Doubt’s massively successful album Tragic Kingdom is a reference to Disneyland’s “Magic Kingdom” nickname, and Gwen has said that she used to sneak into the theme park to watch bands perform, as reported by Rolling Stone. Gwen also sprinkles Disney magic on her wardrobe. According to the singer, her love for the colorful world of Disney has influenced what she wears.

“I grew up near Disneyland, and my brother’s an animator, so I was always really inspired by bright, cartoony colors and that whole feeling of happiness,” Gwen told Teen Vogue.

Speaking of happiness, Gwen Stefani recently had something to say about her experience with the emotion. She spent the end of 2015 going through a divorce, and it wasn’t easy for the “Misery” singer to move on from her 13-year marriage to Gavin Rossdale. However, Gwen is in a good place now, and she actually sees her tough 2015 as a positive time in her life.

“Even though that year was challenging, it was also one of my favorite things that ever happened to me,” Gwen told People.

Gwen’s experiences have taught her not to dwell on the dark days of the past too much, because there’s always the possibility that tomorrow will bring something better.

“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I’m in a good place and I’m so excited. There’s always amazing things to come.”

Gwen Stefani has learned that some memories can be altogether frightening, but the No Doubt frontwoman made quite a few good ones at the small home she affectionately calls “The Beacon Street House.” As OC Weekly reports, this is the Anaheim residence where she and the other members of No Doubt recorded the music videos for “Just a Girl” and “Trapped in a Box.” Some songs from The Beacon Street Collection were also recorded there, and No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont has revealed that much of Tragic Kingdom was written there. The house is so important to Gwen that she decided to take Blake Shelton to visit it after their fun day at Disneyland. Gwen shared a few Snapchat videos and photos of their Anaheim tour, which also included a stop at her childhood home.

There’s no word on what Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton plan on doing next month when they celebrate the one-year anniversary of their official relationship confirmation, but they’re clearly going to have a hard time topping their magical time in Anaheim.
