‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Is Ben And Lauren’s Spin-Off Show A Last Ditch To Save Their Relationship?

The latest The Bachelor spoilers come hot on the heels of the debut of Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell’s spin-off show, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? It seems as though The Bachelor winner can’t stay away from the cameras, and God bless the hustle, but, to many, this show rang hollow to them, especially since the recent spoilers suggest that this show is nothing more than a last-ditch effort to save their failing relationship. Could this be so? Is love truly dead?

Warning: this post contains spoilers. Please do not read this post if you do not wish to read The Bachelor spoilers.

The first set of The Bachelor spoilers come to us courtesy of The New York Post, who are quick to talk about the couple’s new freeform show that follows their adventures prior to walking down the aisle. If their spoilers are any indication, however, The Bachelor Season 20 winners aren’t going to make it that far.

“While #BachelorNation may be enamored with the comings and goings of Ben and Lauren, if these two are hoping to break the dreaded “Bachelor” breakup curse, a life out of the limelight might be a good place to start. After getting engaged on-air following only several weeks of dating, Ben and Lauren admitted they are still strangers in a sense.”

And the not-so-rave reviews continue with SheKnows.com’s latest round of The Bachelor spoilers. In addition to being all but strangers, the couple admitted that they haven’t set a wedding date, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to anytime soon. And while the outlet commended the couple for taking things slow, they also took the couple to task for showing off their new relationship for the cameras and for a desperate bid for ratings.

In addition, the couple has revealed that just a few weeks into their relationship, they’re attending couples counseling. And again, while it’s commendable that the couple is taking a proactive approach to their relationship and their methods of communicating, there are too many parts in the series where the tension is played up for unnecessary drama, and even Ben can’t help but play up his relationship in a ham-fisted way.

“Unexpected things are going to happen in your relationships and life, and Lauren and I are still trying to get to know each other and we’re still finding out things about each other every day and that’s where the question mark comes in. It’s not if we’re happy or not. I will give a spoiler and say we’re very happy, but there are things that will pop up that are unexpected.”

Romance: It lives!

Finally, the last set of The Bachelor spoilers come to us courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, who also exclusively reveal that yes, the couple will indeed make it down the aisle, but it won’t be without its pitfalls. Even though Ben told both Lauren and his ex, JoJo, that he loved them both, he ultimately picked Lauren to settle down with.

But that doesn’t mean that they don’t keep running into the dreaded JoJo. In fact, the two were actually in the audience during JoJo’s stint on The Bachelorette, when she picked and, ultimately, got engaged to, Jordan Rodgers. This, naturally, made Lauren uncomfortable.

“It brings back memories of Ben and I, but it also brings back memories of JoJo and Ben and how he told JoJo he loved her. It brings back that fear that Ben could still have feelings for JoJo.”
