Meghan King Edmonds On Vicki’s Cancer Charity: ‘It Seems Contrived And Forced’

Meghan King Edmonds had a friend who was struggling with cancer on last season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Jimmy Edmonds’ ex-wife had been diagnosed with cancer and she was fighting for her life. Before the show ended on television, she had lost her battle with cancer. That is why Meghan was so vocal about Brooks Ayers behavior when he claimed he was battling cancer. Everything Jimmy’s ex-wife LeAnn Edmonds Horton, was doing made sense, while Brooks broke all of the rules. He was later busted for lying about his medical records and he fled Orange County.

According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds is now revealing that she finds it odd that Vicki Gunvalson is filming a cancer charity commercial just a year after learning that her boyfriend may have been lying about having cancer. Meghan knows that her co-star has tried to clear her name by distancing herself from Ayers, but her denial in admitting what she knows hasn’t helped her case.

“I’ve seen lots of different opinions on Vicki’s cancer charity commercial and it’s still just so weird for me. It seems contrived and forced for her to be doing a commercial like that after everything that happened last season. Don’t you agree? You can see my full reaction to the commercial on WWHL,” Meghan King Edmonds explains in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealing that she thought it was weird to see Vicki film the commercial.

Many feel that she’s trying to clear her name after the Brooks cancer scandal. Many feel that she knew something and that she may be guilty. She has admitted to fabricating some things as not everything made sense to her. So many people had an opinion when Vicki decided to film the cancer charity commercial in her kitchen. She has already been criticized for turning this charity thing into a business, as she may be making money from her involvement. Plus, some people found it tasteless that she would film the commercial with her expensive Louis Vuitton bag.

“I thought it was weird. I thought it seemed contrived and forced and I don’t even think it’s a charity. I think it’s, like, a fundraiser or something. I looked into it,” Meghan King Edmonds told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, according to Bravo, adding, “It’s a website where you give the website money and then the money funnels it to other charities. Or, the website funnels the money to other charities. That’s not a charity.”

While Meghan King Edmonds questioned the charity, it sounds like Vicki is very convinced that she’s making the right decision with this charity. She really wants to make a great impression with fans and she wants to make her wrongs right with this new move. She opened up about the agreement with the charity in her blog in hopes of making people understand why she was now working with the charity. But Meghan King Edmonds isn’t buying it.

“The reason why I entered in the insurance industry at 29 years old, was because I wanted to help people and to be able to support my two children as a single mother. That same passion for helping and guiding people is the reason why I chose to become involved with the Kill All Cancer charity. Why wouldn’t I?” Vicki revealed in her own blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to Bravo.
