‘Teen Mom OG’: Catelynn Lowell Admits To Smoking Pot Again In Sneak Peek [Video]

After returning home from a month-long stint in rehab, it certainly seemed like Catelynn Lowell is falling back on old habits. The Teen Mom OG star came clean to her mother-in-law and admitted that she picked up her old bad habit and started smoking pot again in a new sneak peek for tonight’s episode.

During last week’s episode of MTV’s hit reality TV series, Catelynn’s husband Tyler Baltierra prepared a sweet and emotional homecoming for his wife as she returned to their home in Michigan after undergoing treatment at a rehab facility, as previously reported by the Inquisitr. Earlier in Season 6 of Teen Mom OG, Catelynn buckled under the pressure of being a new mom while struggling with mental health issues and also dealing with her pot-smoking habit. After she had a nervous breakdown, she admitted herself into a month-long rehab treatment facility in Arizona where she tried to kick her pot habit and learned how to manage her depression and anxiety—leaving her husband Tyler and their 20-month-old daughter Nova behind.

But now that Lowell has returned home, the Teen Mom OG star has also returned to her old ways. In a sneak peek for tonight’s episode, Catelynn admitted that she started smoking pot again during a very tense, awkward conversation with her mother-in-law—which came as a shock since Catelynn expressed her desire and seemed adamant about quitting the habit during her stint in rehab, Radar Online reported.

Catelynn has struggled with mental health issues in the past and even sought out therapy after Tyler suggested that she might be battling post-partum depression after the birth of their second daughter, Nova. The couple also shares 7-year-old daughter Carly, whom they gave up for adoption in a previous episode of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant.

The Teen Mom OG sneak peek clip opened with Catelynn sitting in an armchair in her living room, playing with her daughter Nova. Kim, Tyler Baltierra’s mother, let herself into their home. Catelynn left Nova to play on her own while she sat down at the dining room table with Tyler and his mother.

“So, do you see any difference in Cate at all since she’s been back?” Kim asked her son and he said he has seen a change in his wife.

“So it was helpful? Did you learn anything?” she asked her daughter-in-law.

“Oh yeah, I learned a lot of crap,” the Teen Mom OG star told her and laughed. “Oh yeah, every day. We had classes and stuff that you had to go to.”

“Are you putting stuff to the test?” Tyler’s mom pressed.

“Yeah, well, I haven’t had a trigger yet really,” Catelynn explained.

“Oh good, that’s awesome,” she said. “I could’ve sworn the other day you were high. Seriously.”

Catelynn’s face dropped and she looked at Tyler after Kim’s shocking comment and Kim confronted her daughter-in-law more directly.

“You’ve been smoking, haven’t ya?” Tyler’s mom asked Catelynn.

Tyler rested his chin in his hand and looked away from his mother and his wife and Catelynn paused before answering his mom’s question.

“That’s something that I probably won’t talk about,” Catelynn finally answered. “‘Cause I don’t want the whole world to know.”

“Really?” Kim said, looking shocked, then directed her next question at her son Tyler.

“But are you strong enough, if you see her not doing what she’s supposed to be doing,” she asked Tyler, ” are you strong enough to…”

“Keep my mouth shut?” Tyler finished his mother’s sentence. “Yeah, I have to keep my mouth shut ’cause she’s responsible for her and I’m responsible for me.”

“Yeah,” Catelynn agreed, looking worried.
