Legally, Daniel Radcliffe may not be able to place a vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election. However, that sure doesn’t stop Radcliffe from having an opinion on the matter. During an interview with Sky News Daniel claimed Donald Trump may actually be worse than Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter series.
It was during the Empire Live film festival that Daniel Radcliffe was asked what he thought about J.K. Rowling tweeting that Voldemort is not nearly as bad as Donald Trump is.
“I sort of think Donald Trump might not be as ideologically pure as Voldemort. My thing on Trump is that he feels like more of an opportunist — like I don’t know how much of this stuff he’s saying he actually, really, really believes.”
Radcliffe did go on to say that the differences between Lord Voldemort and Donald Trump doesn’t mean that Rowling was not on the right track. He went on to say, “But that comparison is certainly not without its merits.”

Daniel Radcliffe seems to believe that Donald Trump is more of an entertainer who says what he believes people want to hear, as opposed to saying what he actually believes and supports.
This isn’t the first time Daniel Radcliffe had recently talked about Donald Trump during an interview. It was during an appearance Daniel made on The Graham Norton Show while sitting beside Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick that he shared a story of the very first time he met Donald Trump roughly 10 years ago.

During his appearance on the show, he talked about how the first time he met Donald Trump was during his very first press run as Harry Potter. He was only 11 or 12 at the time and he was scared because he was about to be on television and he didn’t know what to say. Radcliffe went on to say the advice Trump gave him about his television appearance is advice that probably won’t be shocking to anyone. Below is exactly what Daniel had to say about his very first time meeting Trump.
“But they sort of walked me over to him and he said, ‘Oh hi, nice to meet you.’ And I said, ‘Nice to meet you.’ He said, ‘How are you?’ I said, ‘I’m quite nervous. I’ve never been on TV before, I don’t know what I’m gonna talk about.’ And he brilliantly just said, ‘You tell them you just met Mr. Trump.'”
Daniel described the advice Donald Trump had given him 10 years ago as, “the Everest of self-confidence.”
Radcliffe went on to imagine if he were giving advice to someone about being on television and he told the person to just talk about him instead of talking about themselves.
Entertainment Tonight claims the best part of Daniel’s story Daniel about the first time he met Trump is the reaction Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick had to the story. The looks on their faces were almost as if they were ashamed to be Americans.

The real question is – how do you feel about Donald Trump? Do you think he compares to Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter series? Do you think, as J.K. Rowling puts it, “he is worse” than Lord Voldemort? And, what do you think about the advice Trump gave to Daniel Radcliffe when his career was just starting out?
