Kristen Stewart Replaces Nina Dobrev In ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8?

According to recent reports, Twilight beauty Kristen Stewart is going to replace Nina Dobrev in The Vampire Diaries Season 8.

According to iTechPost, new rumors have been circulating that the executive producers of The Vampire Diaries are considering Kristen Stewart for a cameo. According to an unnamed source, it is also reported that The CW and Julie Plec have been in constant touch with Stewart and are negotiating with her for payment.

This is not for the first time reports have surfaced about Dobrev getting replaced by some other actress.

There were earlier reports that Somerhalder’s wife, Nikki Reed, would replace Dobrev in the show. Daily Mail earlier noted that that Reed had accompanied her husband for the shooting of the upcoming season, as she does not wish to stay away from him for a long time.

Meanwhile, if Dobrev decides to stay away from TVD and its cast, then Reed’s presence at the shooting location will be very helpful for the production crew as they can continue filming without wasting their time to audition someone else.

But if Kristen Stewart indeed comes to The Vampire Diaries, then there is a chance that things will become awkward for her and Nikki Reed.

According to Hollywood Life, before Stewart and Robert Pattinson fell in love, the latter was romantically involved with Reed. Not only that, their short-lived affair and breakup created a lot of tension on Twilight movie sets, as Reed reportedly thought that Stewart was the one who took Pattinson away from her.

An insider further revealed to the online publication that after Pattinson left Reed for Stewart, she started seeing Paul McDonald, but it was Ian who finally gave her the solace.

“She learned how to get over it. Once she married Paul [McDonald], she completely forgot about the whole thing, and now she’s with Ian who’s considered her soulmate. Rob is just a blurb in her life story, so she isn’t really paying or giving much attention to Kristen’s diss.”

To get the record straight, there is no bad blood between Nina Dobrev and Kristen Stewart. In her earlier interview with MTV, the xXx actress stated that she is close friends with Kellan Lutz, Ashely Greene, and the whole group.

“I’m very happy that they [Twilight] exist because we exist because of them. Their success is our success. I’m kind of sad the movies are almost over.”

Having said that, it has also been addressed that there was a time when Nina wanted the role of Bella Swan in the Twilight movies. She was a huge fan of the vampire-human love saga and desperately wanted to play the role of a human falling in love with a vampire.

Well, there has been no confirmation whether this rumor will materialize in the future or not. Viewers should wait for an official announcement before drawing any conclusions.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that Dobrev will feature in Episode 2, titled “Today Will Be Different.” According to an earlier report from iTechPost, titles of Season 8 indicate the plot story. The first episode in the final season is titled “Hello, Brother,” and it will show some high-octane drama between Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.

The second episode of the season is titled, “Today Will Be Different.” The statement is taken from Elena Gilbert’s diary after the death of her parents. According to the online publication, the title proves her return in Season 8, Episode 2.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 is going to air on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW. Do you think that Kristen Stewart will ever come to the silver screen and share the screen space with Ian Somerhalder? Sound off in the comments below.
