Meghan King Edmonds’ Husband ‘Was So Upset’ After Miscarriage: His Shocking Reaction!

Meghan King Edmonds was excited to learn whether she would be having one or two children on this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Meghan was excited about learning about her pregnancy and getting an update as to whether she would be having twins or just her baby girl. During the episode, King Edmonds seemed very excited about the doctor’s appointment, but she hadn’t prepared herself for the emotions she would feel when she learned that she had miscarried one of the two babies. Maybe she just felt really confident that both babies would be there.

According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds is now revealing that she wasn’t the only one who was completely emotional about losing one of her babies. Her husband quickly rushed to her side to comfort her as she lay on the ultrasound table, but Jimmy was actually quite emotional himself, even though he didn’t show it on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

“I honestly couldn’t watch the scene when I was in tears. It was just too hard to relive that moment and it brought back too many emotions. As expected, everyone has had different views and opinions on how I reacted to the news of just one baby instead of two, but knowing that two genetically perfect embryos were transferred and only one survived was really hard for me. Of course I am beyond excited and grateful for my baby girl to arrive in a couple months, but the loss of (what I now know was) the boy felt – and was and is – so real,” Meghan King Edmonds explains on her blog for Bravo, sharing that the loss was very real and she needed time to grieve.

On Twitter, King Edmonds faced some criticism for not celebrating the survival of the one baby and only focusing on the loss of the second baby. But it sounds like Meghan didn’t realize how much it would impact her to learn that one of the babies had passed away. It was awesome to see that Jimmy was there for her and was there to comfort her, as she learned of the miscarriage. He has been highly criticized for being absent during this pregnancy.

“I was overwhelmed with emotions and Jim was, too. He was so upset. Even at the next appointment, he asked them to please look again for our other baby – it broke my heart. I’d wake up crying and fall asleep crying and we had to take some time to grieve. I’m now seven months pregnant and I’m currently decorating my baby girl’s nursery and couldn’t be more excited to meet her!” Meghan King Edmonds explains on her blog, sharing that her husband Jimmy Edmonds was also very emotional about the loss of the baby.

It is heartbreaking to learn that Jimmy wanted the doctor to look again during their second visit to ensure that he hadn’t missed the second baby. He clearly wanted the second baby, even though he had been hesitant about having more children. Jimmy currently has four children and Meghan King Edmonds’ pregnancy would add a fifth child to the bunch. It makes sense that he wouldn’t want to be overwhelmed, but he felt the loss as much as Meghan did when they learned of the miscarriage. Maybe King Edmonds’ husband isn’t the cold man that the tabloids have made him out to be.
