Adam Levine Welcomes First Child With Wife Behati Prinsloo, Will He Quit ‘The Voice’?

Adam Levine is a dad, but will it mean the end of his career on The Voice?

As the 11th season of the NBC singing competition plays out, Adam Levine is getting adjusted to his life with daughter Dusty Rose, whom he and wife Behati Prinsloo welcomed on September 21 in Los Angeles.

“Everything went well and the baby is beautiful,” an insider told Us Weekly on September 22. “They’re a very happy couple and excited to start their family. I can tell you they make very beautiful babies together.”

Although The Voice Season 11 premiered last Monday night, Adam Levine chose to be by his wife’s side in the days leading up to the birth of their daughter. He even rescheduled several of his Maroon 5 shows so that he would not miss the child’s arrival.

“[Adam Levine] was in the delivery room holding Behati’s hands. They both cried when she was born. Both families are there now,” a source revealed to E! News. “She is beautiful. She looks like Behati.”

In the months leading up to his child’s birth, Adam Levine frequently spoke of his excitement about becoming a dad for the first time.

“I’m ready to be a dad,” he told Entertainment Tonight in April. “You’re born to be a parent, that’s what we’re here for, really. All the other s**t is great, but it’s not what we’re here for.”

As for how he and Prinsloo would adjust to life as parents, he explained that they intended on doing it in their own way — despite the many parenting tips he and Prinsloo have gotten along the way.

“When you are doing this for the first time, everybody loves to tell you what you should be doing,” he said. “So, we’re kind of tuning a lot of it out, and we’re just going to do it how we do it.”

While Adam Levine has stayed away from the set of The Voice, his former co-star, Gwen Stefani, recently revealed she’d seen the child via FaceTime. During an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show last week, Stefani, who is currently involved in a relationship with Blake Shelton, gushed over Dusty Rose.

“[Adam Levine] actually has been FaceTiming me all day because he just had his baby. She’s so cute!” Stefani, 46, told DeGeneres, according to a report by Us Weekly on September 24.

Adam Levine and his wife have grown close to Stefani and Shelton in recent months. Earlier this year, they posted a photo on Instagram of one of their double dates.

As for Adam Levine’s future with The Voice, his role on Season 12 has yet to be confirmed. Earlier this year, a Life & Style source claimed he may leave the show to focus on Prinsloo and their growing family. According to the report, via Hollywood Life, Adam Levine didn’t want to remain on the show for too long and would prefer to spend his time at home with his family. One day later, however, a source spoke to Hollywood Life and revealed that Adam Levine had no reason to walk away from the hit show.

As the source explained, Adam Levine’s schedule with The Voice doesn’t keep him away from home all that much, and because Prinsloo recently moved to Los Angeles full-time, they are already spending a lot more time together than they had in the past.

For more of Adam Levine, tune into The Voice Season 11 airing tonight and every Monday night at 8 p.m. on NBC.
