‘Teen Mom OG’: Catelynn Lowell Returns From Rehab In This Emotional Sneak Peek [Video]

Momma’s back home! Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell returned to her family after a month-long stint in rehab, and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, pulled out all the stops for his wife’s homecoming in an emotional new sneak peek.

In an episode that aired earlier in Season 6 of MTV’s hit reality TV show Teen Mom OG, the 24-year-old reality star opened up about her struggle with anxiety and depression and she even revealed that she had a habit of smoking pot, Us Weekly reported. She decided that in order to properly care for her 20-month-old daughter, Nova, she needed to learn how to care for herself, so Catelynn entered a rehabilitation treatment to could work on her mental health.

Catelynn Lowell reached her breaking point in an earlier episode of Teen Mom OG after she adopted a baby pig and quickly realized that keeping a farm animal as a pet would be harder than she thought. After she broke down crying, she realized that the squeals from her new pet pig were not the actual cause of her tears, but it was really just the stress she’s under as a new mom who also struggles with depression. Catelynn and Tyler welcomed their second child, Nova, last January, and the couple also shares 7-year-old daughter Carly, whom they gave up for adoption in an earlier episode of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant.

But in a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of Teen Mom OG, Catelynn returned after a month-long treatment program at a rehab facility in Arizona, where she underwent intensive therapy to cope with her life as a young mother while dealing with the pain from her past.

The clip opened with Catelynn getting into the passenger seat of a car driven by Teen Mom OG producer Jessica, according to Us Weekly, who greeted Catelynn with a hug. Catelynn just flew in after leaving the treatment facility in Arizona to return to her home in Michigan. Jessica caught up with Catelynn and asked her about her treatment.

“Do you feel different, do you feel like it helped?” the producer asked.

“Oh yeah, it helped tremendously,” Catelynn said as she smoked a cigarette.

She asked Catelynn about the types of prescriptions that she was given while she was in rehab. Catelynn revealed that she’s still on the same dosage of Zoloft, which is a medicine that is used to treat depression.

“I kinda wanna take this MTV sh** just a little slow,” Catelynn said, in what seemed like a response to the personal questions her producer asked on the drive back to her house. “I’m just like, warming up to it all.”

“Absolutely,” she responded. “You know you can always let me know what you feel comfortable doing and what you don’t.”

Meanwhile, Lowell’s husband, Tyler Baltierra, was sitting at the dining room table in the couple’s new house, patiently waiting for his wife to arrive. He caught a glimpse of her through the window and stood up to greet her.

“Welcome home!” Tyler said as Catelynn entered the room, and he embraced his wife.

Catelynn noticed the flowers on the table, a small jewelry box-sized gift wrapped in blue paper and a silver ribbon, and she chose to open the card with the word “wife” handwritten on the front first.

The camera zoomed into the handwritten note Tyler wrote to Catelynn on the inside of the card.

“I am so beyond proud of you for doing all of the hard work you have done this past month. You are the strongest, most courageous + beautiful human being I have ever met. I am honored to call you my wife and love you beyond words. You are amazing and you are strong, your [sic] gorgeous and brave, caring and nurturing, your [sic] angelic and graceful and more importantly…WORTHY of love.”

“Aww, you’re so cute,” Catelynn said after she finished reading the note, then got up from her chair to give Tyler a big hug.

“You smell good,” Catelynn told Tyler. “I haven’t smelled a man in a month.”
