Carly Waddell And Evan Bass Exchange Fun Banter And Settle Into Life Together, But His Ex-Wife Doesn’t See Wedding Bells In Their Future
Carly Waddell and Evan Bass fell in love and got engaged during Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise, and now the two are settling into day-to-day life together in Nashville, Tennessee. Three couples left paradise engaged this past summer, but some fans think that Carly and Evan may be the most likely to make it down the aisle. What’s the latest from these two?
One thing that gives Waddell and Bass an edge in their relationship is that they both already lived in Nashville. They were able to spend a lot of time together even when their engagement was still something of a secret, and now she has pretty fully moved into his place. She has spent time with his three sons, and it seems that they are all getting along really well.
Evan and Carly banter back and forth a lot on social media and share a lot of cute updates about their daily lives. One recent post of Waddell’s noted that her dog actually ate the homework of one of Bass’ sons, and she also discovered that Evan’s sons watch her Instagram stories and told their dad that her dog made a mess on his couch.
A recent project garnering a lot of Carly and Evan’s attention has been related to Halloween. It seems that Waddell is determined to go all-out in decorating Bass’ home, and she has them scoping out the neighbor’s house to ensure that they can go bigger and better. The Bachelor in Paradise stars joke that the neighbors do not yet know that they are in a decorating war, but Carly is determined to make sure that they win this unannounced contest.
While Evan and Carly got off to a rough start on Bachelor in Paradise, by the time they left Mexico, they were engaged and saying they were ready to get married right away. They have not set a wedding date yet, however, and they have noted that while they absolutely see marriage in their future, they also aren’t rushing into this. She did share a tease recently about a possible elopement, but at this point, they are content just enjoying their engagement.
Interestingly, Bass’ ex-wife sees things a bit differently when it comes to a possible wedding. Evan’s ex-wife Marie chatted with Hollywood Life and said that she doesn’t think the two will ever get married. She does admit that they seem to be a good pair together, but she will be surprised if her ex-husband gets remarried at all. While Marie says that she wishes them the best and hopes it works out, it doesn’t sound as if she thinks this relationship will go the distance.
Marie goes on to say that she didn’t think Evan would go on Bachelor in Paradise because it’s sleazy. However, she counters that it seems that money talks and despite the time it kept him away from his sons, and how stressful he knew it would be on her, he went anyway. Of course, fans of Carly and Evan probably won’t be too concerned about Marie’s comments, as some might say they are pretty vague in terms of not believing that the engagement will last.

While Carly does do some product promotion via her Instagram, as many Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise veterans do these days, Bass has been avoiding them. Waddell does keep things fairly balanced at this point, more so than some others from the franchise. Waddell and Bass don’t seem to be focused on promotional appearances and paid opportunities as much as some other current couples, and they do seem intent on settling down into their everyday lives together. Many franchise fans would say that this likely bodes well for them as a lasting couple.
