Kate Middleton And Queen Elizabeth II: The Feud Continues Over Carole Middleton?

Kate Middleton and the Queen of England apparently just can’t see eye to eye on one topic: Carole Middleton, the mother of the duchess. Carole is ever in the headlines of tabloids due to being the attention-hungry mother of Prince William’s wife, Kate, yet the duchess is not about to dismiss her mother from any events that Queen Elizabeth II reportedly would like her left out of.

Most recently, Kate and William ventured to the royal family’s Scottish estate, Balmoral, and even though the monarch wished the two to arrive on their own, Kate insisted on bringing her mom along for the occasion. The royal pair were urged to make their way and pay a visit to the estate by the queen, and they did just that, as Celeb Dirty Laundry states.

“With the Queen’s urging, Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Balmoral estate but not without the clingy mom of the Duchess, Carole Middleton… some royal observers believe that Kate Middleton refused to visit Queen Elizabeth’s vast estate in Scotland without Carole. However, the parents of Kate were left with no choice but to appease the queen after their daughter failed to appear in several royal engagements.”

Michael and Carole Middleton have been spotted on numerous occasions in the company of the Queen. The parents of Kate even attended a Sunday service at nearby Craithe church along with the royals. Long-standing claims say that the monarch is not a fan of Carole, nor is she too keen on the rest of the Middletons, seeing as they couldn’t seem to stay out of the tabloids back when Prince William first married Kate in 2011.

Carole Middleton has been described on a number of occasions as the social climber, as Gamenguide notes, who clings to her royal daughter. The matriarch to the Middletons is also said to be behind her younger daughter’s recent engagement to hedge fund manager James Matthews after she gave her go-ahead to see the two wed. Unfortunately, other rumors circulated about the queen not being too fond of that match either.

Pippa’s soon-to-be husband, though a well-off and a respectable man, is unfortunately tied to former reality star Spencer Matthews, who found himself in the tabloids. The younger Matthews is also said to have a bit of a big mouth when it comes to talking to the media about certain matters. This has apparently caused both the duchess and the queen worry about the union, and rumors of feuding between the sisters have been sparked since Pippa became engaged to James back in July.

An additional rumor surrounding the marriage involved the question as to whether or not Kate would play a role in Pippa’s ceremony after Kate made Pippa famous by giving her the role of maid of honor at her royal wedding in 2011. The claims were that Pippa would not include Kate so that the spotlight wouldn’t be stolen from her on her own big day. That is understandable enough, seeing as Kate Middleton would likely have all eyes on her.

It’s clear that despite any apparent dislike of the Queen towards the Middleton family, she has kept her composure and done her best to welcome the family members of her grandson’s radiant wife to the royal family. Since the pair became married in 2011, the duke and duchess have been about breaking tradition and have done their best to make the non-royal Middleton family a part of all royal family engagements they can manage. Kate and William have made their family life more “normal” than any royal couple and continue to push boundaries. Yet, the actions by the pair have proven to be a hit with royal fans and onlookers who appreciate how much they involve themselves with the common people.
