Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Are Keeping Their Dating Relationship A Secret Due To Tom Cruise’s Ties To Scientology?

Katie Holmes has been linked to Jamie Foxx for years, but still, she has yet to confirm news of their dating relationship.

In 2013, after Katie Holmes and the actor were seen dancing together at a Hamptons charity event in New York, rumors regarding their relationship began to swirl but were quickly shot down by Foxx, who joked that he had danced with a number of people at the bash and could have just as easily been romantically linked to Colin Powell.

“[The rumors] are 100 percent not true. In fact, it’s quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people,” Foxx told Page Six in response to the Katie Holmes dating rumors at the time.

Foxx also deemed the reports “absurd” but just months later, he and Katie Holmes were linked yet again after they reportedly enjoyed a weekend together around the time of the 2014 Super Bowl. As the outlet revealed, Foxx welcomed Katie Holmes to his Los Angeles home in early 2014 and later traveled to the Big Apple, where he and Holmes spent time together before attending the Super Bowl separately.

According to the Page Six report at the time, Katie Holmes and her rumored boyfriend were keeping their relationship under wraps because Foxx was a friend of her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. As fans may recall, Foxx and Cruise starred alongside one another in 2004’s Collateral.

One year later, amid more denials of the couple’s romance, Us Weekly shared a photo of Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx, which showed the alleged pair holding hands and touching toes.

“Jamie is someone [Katie Holmes] can trust and have fun with,” a mutual friend told the magazine of Katie Homes. “She’s getting everything from Jamie that she didn’t get with Tom.”

The source also claimed that Foxx refers to Katie Holmes, who was married to Cruise from 2006 to 2012, as “my girl.” However, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx continued to play coy about their relationship and would not confirm that they were dating, despite the telling photo of them together.

Although many signs have pointed to a Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx romance, including a recent dinner date in Toronto, the couple still hasn’t come clean about the nature of their romance, so the speculation continues.

Just months ago, fans thought they had finally received the confirmation they’ve been waiting for when former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan addressed her friend Foxx’s relationship and said that she was glad they were happy together. However, after her comments quickly went viral, Jordan backtracked claiming she actually doesn’t know anything about Foxx’s relationship with the actress.

As for why Katie Holmes may be hiding her romance, one recent report suggests Scientology and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, may be to blame for certain rules established during her divorce from Cruise.

“Katie Holmes had to literally escape her marriage under the cover of night through burner phones and lawyers in three different states, and special verbiage to ensure Tom Cruise can’t hypnotize their daughter Suri into hating Katie (like his other children do with their mother, Nicole Kidman) through thetan powers. But she’s been fairly quiet since that feat of bad***ery,” Pajiba revealed to readers on September 12. “And there might be a reason: in the terms of their very fast divorce, L. Ron Hubbard’s ghost sprinkled a little extra control powder.”
