Robert Pattinson And FKA Twigs Split Rumors Continue As Singer’s Rep Declines To Comment On Couple’s Relationship

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are no strangers to keeping their relationship out of the public eye, but as reports continue to suggest that the couple has called off their one-year engagement after having not been spotted in public together for nearly two months, it appears that sources close to the couple are only further fueling the breakup claims by remaining tight-lipped on the status of the couple’s relationship.

While Pattinson and FKA Twigs have faced their fair share of breakup reports ever since they were first rumored to be dating back in October 2014, recent claims suggesting that the couple has officially called off their engagement have yet to be refuted by sources close to both the “Two Weeks” songstress and The Rover actor.

The breakup speculation further escalated earlier this week after Gossip Cop reportedly reached out to a rep for FKA Twigs seeking clarification on the singer’s engagement to Pattinson, only to have been met with “no comment” from Twigs’ camp concerning the status of the duo’s relationship.

Just a few days prior, the site published another report aiming to dispel rumors of a budding romance between Robert Pattinson and his Damsel costar Mia Wasikowska after several outlets began claiming that the duo was getting “cozy” on the set of the impending Western film. According to the report, one outlet claimed to have spoken to alleged insiders who were present on the set of Pattinson and Wasikowska’s new film before quoting the insiders as saying that the costars were “together almost nonstop” and that Pattinson’s fiancée FKA Twigs could “lose” Rob as a result of his growing chemistry with Wasikowska.

In response to the claims, Gossip Cop pointed out that Rob and Mia had actually wrapped filming for Damsel two weeks prior to when the outlet claimed to have spoken to insiders on set for the film before noting that their own source close to the project “scoffed” at the Rob and Mia dating speculation and referred to the romance rumors between the costars as “reaching.”

While sources close to the actor were quick to shut down dating claims between Rob and Mia Wasikowska, Gossip Cop also noted that insiders close to Twigs and Pattinson have been “unusually secretive” in regard to combating breakup claims for the couple, further suggesting that the duo may be taking a break after previously delaying their wedding due to scheduling conflicts between Twigs’ tour and Pattinson’s filming schedule.

Last year, sources close to Robert Pattinson revealed to People that the actor’s wedding to FKA Twigs was now “off the agenda” despite months of speculation suggesting that the couple was eager to walk down the aisle, albeit noting that the couple had not officially “called off the engagement.”

“They’ve definitely drifted and have barely spoken while he’s in Belfast and she’s been in the States,” the source explained of the couple’s conflicting schedules. The source further noted that Twigs had been spending more time with her “Team Twigs” and that Pattinson “has never been at ease with Twigs’ entourage,” further fueling split rumors for the then-recently engaged couple.

Despite whispers of an impending split, Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs shut down the breakup claims by attending the 8th Annual GO Campaign Gala together just two months later, only to further silence the speculation in early 2016 after Pattinson was seen showing his support for Twigs at several of her concerts and awards shows in both London and the U.S.

Similarly, the couple appeared to have silenced the breakup rumors indefinitely after they were spotted attending the 2016 Met Gala together in May, although fans have since grown worried about the status of the couple since few photos have emerged of the duo spending time together since their last public appearance earlier this summer.

While Pattinson has remained busy throughout the summer while on location in Utah and Oregon for Damsel and Twigs has been preoccupied with her tour, several fan sites have recently pointed out that neither Rob nor Twigs have appeared to visit one another since concluding their respective projects over two weeks ago.

Neither Rob nor FKA was in attendance at the MTV Video Music Awards two weeks ago despite Twigs’ multiple nominations for her track, “M3LL155X,” and fan sites further point out that Rob was spotted in Los Angeles last weekend while FKA Twigs remained in Philadelphia for her performance at the Made in America festival on September 4.
