Taylor Swift Working On New Music Amid Tom Hiddleston Split, Says Gigi Hadid

Good news, Swifties. A new Taylor Swift album just might be in the works.

Gigi Hadid confirmed Friday night at the Tommy Hilfiger runway show at New York Fashion Week that Swift is working on new music.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight’s Carly Steele backstage, Hadid revealed that Swift is back in the studio working on a new album. She also expressed her gratitude to her BFF for showing up at the Tommy Hilfiger show despite the singer’s busy schedule.

“She’s obviously such a great friend, and you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again, and really made time to be here for me, and I am so grateful for that,” Hadid said.

And support Gigi she did as Swift showed up at the NYFW event sporting thigh-high red boots and shorts.

The “Shake It Off” singer sat front row next to Gigi’s mom Yolanda Hadid and model Martha Hunt. Swift was surrounded by heavy security too, which is unsurprising given the amount of attention she’s been getting in the past several months.

“SO PROUD OF YOU GIGI!!!! That show was INSANE. Congrats to Gi, Tommy, and all the girls who just owned that runway!!” Swift wrote.

Considering what Swift has gone through in the past several months — starting with her rather messy breakup with Calvin Harris, the recent tiff with Kanye West and his beau Kim Kardashian over the “Famous” lyric, and her recent split from British actor Tom Hiddleston — Swift sure has a lot of material to draw inspiration from.

Despite her recent split with Hiddleston, Swift has managed to keep her spirits up. In one of her most recent Instagram posts, Swift was seen dancing and singing along to the music while cheering Hadid on while the model blazed the catwalk.

Interestingly, Swift was singing along to Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For” (featuring Rihanna), the song she secretly wrote for the American DJ. Swift’s representative recently spilled the beans on who was the song’s creative mastermind. This irked Harris, prompting him to post an angry tweet in which he called Swift out for taking credit for the song after they had broken up (and while Swift was dating then-new boyfriend Hiddleston).

Swift chose to ignore the tweet, choosing instead to enjoy herself while singing along to the song she herself wrote. Was that a subtle shade hurled by Swift at her ex? You be the judge.

After the show, Miss Hadid posted a comment on TayTay’s Instagram video thanking her for the all-out support.

Taylor Swift’s generosity to her fans continues to be unwavering even in the face of heartbreak. Recently, Swift embarked on a goodwill tour to help those who are in need.

Recently, Swift spoke to a fan named Meghan Hils, a terminally-ill patient who wanted to meet her for a long time. After seeing a post Meghan’s father posted online, Swift decided to grant her wish by surprising her with a 30-minute Facetime session, as previously posted by NY Daily News.

“The words thank you will never be enough to say to Taylor Alison Swift for this day,” the critically ill teen said of the call organized by The Dream Foundation. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Swift, who is known for her deep connection with fans, donated $5,000 to the family of Katie Beth Carter, a “Swiftie” who passed away earlier this week. The 25-year-old pop star donated the money through Carter’s GoFundMe account.

“Kimi, No words could express how sorry I am for your loss. I know that you will keep Katie’s memory alive,” Swift wrote on the GoFundMe page.

“Please know how much I am thinking of you and saying a prayer for your family,” Swift added.

Kimi took to Instagram to post a screenshot of Swift’s donation, writing, “this…… I cannot believe this at all….. thank you so much, Taylor…. me and my sister are smiling so hard… @taylorswift.”
